    A bit disappointed

by Fontla on 2/13/24Cross Insurance Arena - Portland

We have been attending this event for the past 3 years. Always fun and entertaining. This year was not as much fun. The vendor count seemed to be less than in the past - both beer vendors and merchandise vendors. However, ALL the volunteers were delightful!!

    Not what we expected

by Rick on 2/13/24Cross Insurance Arena - Portland

This event was a joke, very small, way to many tickets sold for the size of this event. The people pouring your beers, didn't even work for the brewery's, So they couldn't answer any question you had about the beer. This was not worth the cost we paid to go...

    Objectively bad major beer festival

by Ian on 2/13/24Cross Insurance Arena - Portland

Even though the floor on fun with unlimited beer is always pretty high, this didn’t go well: Poor selection; mostly poor quality; poorly run (many booths manned by randoms who didn’t know what they were pouring, even one where a ticket-holder was asked to briefly take over); abysmal food and merch options (we’re talking only one booth of basic concert concessions on the floor and a few tables of things like time-share scams); and the VIP ticket description straight up lied about some of the benefits you paid extra for. The band, Holly Heist, was great and the only thing holding it all together.

    Happy it’s back

by Bearded B on 2/9/23Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - Portland

Great again despite having less vendors and less non-drink vendors. I enjoyed the photo booth and having the concession stand were great. I would like more vendors next year if possible

    Where’s the Brew

by Juanito on 2/8/23Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - Portland

Overall great time. Way to much ciders. Needed more beer choices and beer vendors. I like the local flavs, but like to try some out of state brews too.

    More Breweries Needed

by Wench71 on 2/7/23Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - Portland

Certainly not worth the $75 VIP price. So many empty tables and honestly just not a lot of beer. The breweries that were there were had mostly only 2 beers to sample, and lots didn’t even have people pouring that knew anything about the brewery or the beer. Very, very disappointing as far as brew fests go

Wasn't what I expected most likely not going to go back

by Jm on 2/7/23Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - Portland

They ran out of a lot of beers and the selection wasn't what I thought it was going to be I feel like they advertised to get people to go and then didn't deliver

    Beer Already in Supermarkets ☹️

by Ricardo on 2/7/23Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - Portland

Underwhelmed by the lineup and for the first time ever there wasn’t one new beer I will go out and buy

    Brewery tasting

by SaraB on 2/7/23Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - Portland

The big disappointment was how few breweries were there. Lots of empty tables where some were no-shows or they just didn't have the amount of breweries sign up to be there this year. We attended several years in a row pre-Covid and it was wall to wall breweries and so much more fun! Still had a great time - music was good, everyone we talked to was super friendly, just wish there was more

    Portland on tap

by Beckles on 2/7/23Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - Portland

companys that were there with their own beer new their stuff and answered questions well and the beer was cold. but people that were just hired to pour new very little about the product which was disapointing and there was many warm beers

    Lacking

by Taps23 on 2/7/23Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - Portland

Second session seemed a bit lacking with the selection of breweries. It felt as if some breweries didn’t bring enough product and ran out in the first session. All in all it was still a fun time.

    Little disappointed

by Mas on 2/7/23Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - Portland

Less vendors this year, VIP waited after start time to get cups and enter but GA was right on time if not early, less smaller craft breweries and vendor. Would like to see a focus on reaching out to the true craft community and less volunteers working behind the table could be a great event again.

Fun but could of been better!

by Amy on 2/7/23Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - Portland

I was disappointed in the amount of breweries that showed up! Also there were only a few breweries that actually had representatives from the brewery there and only like 2 were pouring from taps! Could of been better! Holly Heist was amazing though!

    Portland on Tap

by Tim on 2/7/23Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - Portland

Poorly executed compared to past events. Lack of non alcoholic beverages for designated drivers. Overall mildly disappointing

    Not many breweries this time

by disappointed on 2/7/23Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - Portland

Definitely not as many beer vendors as in previous years. Not worth it.

    Meh..

by Kstapes on 2/7/23Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - Portland

Looked like there were a lot of vendors missing. The band was pretty good though. I don’t think you really get your moneys worth especially with the VIP!

Portland on Tap was very good, but not great.

by Michael P. on 2/7/23Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - Portland

We had the VIP (extra hour) for the afternoon session. Beers were good, lots that weren't, but that could just be my taste. Not many dark beers, not the best assortment of types of beers. A lot of empty tables, did some breweries just not show up? Then why leave empty? Thought there were going to be multiple food samples also, there was one company who gave out a dime sized piece of steak. The VIP area was not very big at all, many people accessing the VIP area and exclusive beers that were not VIP's which made the highly sought after beers run out quickly. All in all was a fun time, yes of course, but I don't think I would splurge for the VIP ticket next year and would have to really think about going again next year.
