Arriving at 8 AM was a wee bit too early, when the festivities didn't truly get going until almost 11 AM. By the time the stars were out on the field, it was scorching hot and we had to head up into the stands to catch the shade. The first 2-3 hours were pretty boring as we watched the fans play baseball, but it was pretty cool to see 'real' people be able to participate in the event, not to mention their opportunity to see 'behind the scenes' and possibly meet the Twilight stars. However, we were never given an opportunity to be involved in the baseball games and never understood or were informed on how to try to go about it (my seven year old daughter would have loved this). What was never made clear from the 'onset' of our ticket purchase, was what the schedule was and what we could expect. We also kept getting bombarded with upgrade opportunities, which only meant more $$$. At $49 per ticket x 4, I was already pretty maxed out and feeling a little stressed that we couldn't get autographs if we didn't purchase at least a $30 voucher. In the end, my worries were for nothing as we were able to sit up as close as we wanted in the stands (without having paid the extra $100 fees) and we got many autotographs and photos of the stars, while only using one voucher. The Twilight stars were so nice, friendly and welcoming and made everyone feel welcome and accepted. Every table with celebrities were 'manned' by personnel to take the vouchers and differed on what they would or wouldn't let the fans do or get away with. Some let us get free autographs and pictures with the stars and others wouldn't even let us take a photo of the stars from a distance...strange. In the end, we had a great time, but we really just wanted an opportunity to interface with the stars themselves. The stadium wasn't nearly filled to capacity as I had expected - even though it was a charitable event. In my own opinion, I feel that the prices were a little 'too high' for the economy and our area and that more money should have gone to the 'Make A Wish' Foundation - I believe only 10% of the proceeds benefitted the Make A Wish Foundation. Overall, we had a fantastic day and would do it again in a 'heartbeat'!
