  • Sound was an issue

by ChiFry on 8/26/15Bogart's - CincinnatiRating: 4 out of 5

I really like Pop Evil's music. I saw them about 3 years ago for their War of Angels tour. They sounded great! This time, I definitely felt like they looked more confident and did put on a good show. However, I and my friend I went with (who knows music and sound board work) both felt like the music was way too loud and the vocals were drowned out. I just really wish that we could have heard the vocals much better. In fact, the music and sound for Red Sun Rising was fantastic (as were the band, themselves) and my friend and I both find that it's usually the opposite...lead in band sound is usually poorer quality than the headliner. But, that wasn't the case, that night.

  • Awesome band, awesome venue.

Pop Evil always brings the energy. Love seeing them at small venues as opposed to ROTR.

  • Pop Evil brings it EVERY time!!

by PETEvilz on 12/22/14Club Fever - South BendRating: 5 out of 5

As usual, Pop Evil rocked the roof off the venue! All of the other bands were on point also! You gotta check out Red Sun Rising, Letters From The Fire, and Islander. IMPORTANT! - the venue allows smoking (ICK ICK ICK). That is a major bummer and I doubt I will ever go there again for a show. Sorry smokers, but y'all stink and I'm allergic to it. Why don't you think about the performers - second hand smoke is NOT good for their voice!

  • Sadly disappointed by Pop Evil :(

by kumommyrox on 12/22/14Club Fever - South BendRating: 3 out of 5

Assuming Leigh was under the weather. Sang flat all night, hitting none of the great notes. Stage presence was fair at best. Pretty disappointing for the drive we made. Will try again because we love them, but pray the live performance improves!

  • Pop Evil rocked Portland, Maine!!

by Kitty1418cd on 12/12/14Port City Music Hall - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

My friend Tristan and I got to the Port City Music Hall about two hours before the doors opened. It was raining and cold and I was so excited I almost slipped and fell down because I thought I saw a Pop Evil band member!! The security people and everyone inside were looking at us like we were crazy!! And so after I did my share of jumping up and down and taking pictures we went to a nearby restaurant to wait. An hour before doors opened, we stood outside in the rain with about twenty or so other people .....I was so excited I played Pop Evil songs on my phone and bopped up and down for an entire hour! I got handed a free, SIGNED CD from Pop Evil, handed to me by one of the meet and greet selected concert goers. My friend and I were in the front row by the stage and many times, could reach out and touch the leg or the shoe of whoever was rocking out in front of us!! It was an awesome night!!!! And my first rock concert!

  • Very intimate and personal

by IceTrooper on 12/12/14Port City Music Hall - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

Due to the inclement weather the venue was not packed which made the show intimate and personal. Even though the crowd was small that did not stop Pop Evil from delivering an awesome show. Front man Leigh Kakaty rocked the house and is the most humble, personable rock and roller I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He truly does this for the fans. He sincerely appreciates his band followers and all the love and support. I find him open and honest which just make him even more attractive. Bassist Matt DiRito is always a top performer, very entertaining. Matt too is just a nice down to earth guy who loves what he does and that shows in his performance. Then there is Chachi Riot, animal on drums. I could never get tired of watching him play, consistently a hard rocking drummer with a unique flare. Dave Grahs, top guitarist was no slacker this evening. His performance and eye contact with the crowd was second to none. Lastly, Nick Fuelling, fairly new lead guitarist, he played as if he has been part of the band since day one. Quiet guy, loud guitarist. I must say, I have met a few of the members in the past but this time was able to speak with each on and came away with a new appreciation for the band. They are all very humble and appreciate and respect their fans. They were in no rush, felt like I could have hung with them all night, Thanks again POP EVIL for rocking Portland Maine!!

  • Pop Evil is the Best Show Ever

by Drunkfangirl on 5/17/14Club Fever - South BendRating: 5 out of 5

Fantastic Show. Had VIP tickets. They are well worth it. Pop Evil played 15 songs!

  • Escape the Fate great as usual, Pop Evil blah!

by CarlyA on 5/16/14Paradise Rock Club - BostonRating: 4 out of 5

This was my 5th time seeing Escape the Fate and they were incredible as always! I love the Paradise for its small size! The crowd was the oddest I've seen at an ETF show though. Lots of older metalheads and some younger (like should have been home in bed) kids. The opening bands were excellent and interacted with the fans once their sets were over. Pop Evil closed the show....and put me to sleep. The guys voice was great, but the songs all sounded the same to me. My friend and I left early...and I've never left a show early before.

  • POP EVIL ROCKS THE BEND!

by BMJRSDJ on 5/13/14Club Fever - South BendRating: 5 out of 5

GREAT SHOW!! I've waited a long time to see the band. They lived up to my expectations! Not too little, not too much. Perfect mix of pop and rock. The crowd was ready and receptive and really rocked out with the band. No disappointment here!! I will definitely attend another show. (Opening band, Avatar, I'd never seen before. I loved their music, too.)
