Great show!!
by smacker45 on 2/14/17Cabooze - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5I was shocked to enter the Cabooze venue (for my first time), and see that it was quite small. A long rectangle, with the stage along the wall, near the middle of the venue. Nice raised area at the back end. 2 separate bars, with ice cold beer, and other drinks. Badflower opened, and sounded great. A good start to the night with their bluesy-rock. Singer has a lot of controlled passion. Next up was Red Sun Rising. They sounded great. Their singer is extremely passionate, and was running all over the place, wailing out his lyrics--great energy. They also played a good cover of an Alanis Morisette song, and closed their set with their well-known Emotionless. Pop Evil headlined, and put on a great show, as they always do! I love that they opened with Trenches! All but the drummer (obviously, anchored at her kit) move around the stage, and put on a great show. They always have great energy. My favorite part was singer, Leigh, coming out into the crowd near the end. He had everyone sit down, and he sang a portion of Footsteps with the crowd. It was a slower, more heartfelt version. They came back out for an encore, which included Take It All. The sound was really good in this venue, and little to no technical issues. General admission show. Only a few seats in the upstairs balcony at the back.
