Ponoka Stampede; Canada's largest 7 day Professional Rodeo & Chuck Wagons is a major tourism attraction for the Province of Alberta. Year after year, thousands of loyal fans come to the small town of Ponoka during the July 1st weekend to enjoy what many consider it to be the best entertainment in Canada. The Stampede began in 1936 as a single day event and has grown to become a seven day show featuring Professional Rodeo, World Professional Chuck Wagons, Beer Gardens, Dances, Concerts, Casino, Parades, Fireworks and the Popular Stampede Breakfasts.
Had a blast on Canada day. Great food options. Kids enjoyed the midway. Rodeo was extremely entertaining. First time going to this event. Only regret was not going for more than one day!! Will be back next year!!!
The show was tremendous but the experience with ticketmaster was horrible. Worst ever

Great facilities!! Even with the rain. Rodeo ran like clockwork! No delays between events. Nice to have FREE camping facilities nearby and a shuttle available. Concessions and midway looked great too. We will be back!!
Crazy good music, humble guy. Just over all one of the most underrated country singers ever. Remember this review when he is super famous.
Loved to see the chuck wagon races up close at the Ponoka Stampede. It was my first time visiting this rodeo and I was very impressed. Seeing Colter Wall has been on my bucket list for some time. I didn’t dare go out on the literal mud-pit on Wednesday night, but many many folks did and looked like they enjoyed themselves. I’ll have to catch Colter another time, perhaps when he does a small bar-room type of tour. Thank you for all the volunteers who work tediously BTS to make events like this one possible. You’re true champions of these events.
