    Poco

by Crazybro on 9/26/09Cubby Bear - Chicago

It was an amazing time, I am not a "superfan" with the knowledge of who wrote what , who used to be in the band...I don't have the statistics, i just like the music A LOT. I went alone because no one wanted to go and it was really fantastic! A wonderful crowd I never felt akward or lonely. Thanks in part to the couple that shared my table,,he was a superfan. The only downside of the entire night was the service and inconsistency in drink prices. Otherwise I loved the intimacy of the smaller venue and, once again, the music, they played my favorite song and I was truly happy.

    POCO - after 40 years!

by WillyC on 9/26/09Cubby Bear - Chicago

Amazing - they still can blend their voices to create beautiful harmonies.....for "old guys"! It was so close & casual - maybe at tops 175 people in a room they said holds 1000 (more like 500-600 tops). It was like a private show. The sound was very good. Was a little worried after the opening act - their sound was fair at best. Great banner in the background. The horse that Phil Hartman (yes from SNL) created for the "Legend" album cover looked great. After the show they sat and talked with folks for about an hour. Just hung out! They really looked like they enjoyed themselves too. Keep an eye on their event list and see them in a small venue - you won't regret it. Best 25 bucks I've spent in a long time.

    Poco Lives On

by MarkWW on 8/3/09The Plaza Theatre - Orlando

The young man (from OTown) opening up could have played fewer songs ...although he was talented. I am not a Pure Prarie League fan so from my standpoint they played (IMHO) way too long. Poco was fantastic! They should be playing venues as large as the Eagles. I think this is a very talented group of musicians that has unfortunately been grossly underappreciated. They are consummate pros! Long Live Poco.

I love the groups together..I like Pure Prairie League alot , but had to admit I couldn't wait to see Poco...they sounded amazing.. the Ritz was very loud in the theater, wish it was not as loud for that size room..Poco was amazing , there voices were crystal clear ..I love the show very much...

Poco & Pure Prairie League were unbelieveable!

by MadeiraSue on 8/2/09The Ritz Theater - Ybor City

Seeing Poco and Pure Prairie League after all these years (probably 25!) was truly a moving experience. Not only for the memories but they are still first class entertainers. Unlike many bands we haven't seen for many year they haven't seemed to age, just get better. They were contemporary and brilliant and seeing them at the Ritz Theater was like being in a very large bar, but with a lot more room and all the modern conveniences we have come to expect, very intimate but sophisticated. All in all the whole evening was great fun!. We got to dance and party, drink and mingle, were sweeped away by great music and Pocos finale was mezerizing. A GREAT NIGHT!!!!

Poco and Pure Prarie League-great show!

by ladyvtx on 8/2/09The Ritz Theater - Ybor City

We had a great time at the concert. Both PPL and Poco are as great to see today as they were in the 70's. It was a wonderful show and the Ritz Theater in Ybor is one of the best venues-not a bad seat in the house. Such an intimate setting for a great concert. I would recommend this to anyone who is a fan of either band. You won't be disapointed.

    Poco And Pure Prairie League

PPL was a good opener, Definitely can rock. Poco was tighter and hit all of their marks.

    POCO most enjoyable/PPL was ???

by bigvags on 8/2/09The Ritz Theater - Ybor City

After adjusting sound levels, POCO was clear and impressive for a 40 year old band. They still got it! Pure Prarie League was overpowered, this venue, and needs to control their sound levels.

    Poco pokey!!!

by mistart on 8/2/09The Ritz Theater - Ybor City

The opening act, Pure Prairie League, was much more dynamic than the headlne, Poco. If, however, you enjoy watching individual band members in their own little jam session, you might prefer Poco.

    What a show!!!!

by MikeBBad on 7/22/09Penn's Peak - Jim Thorpe

One of my long time favorite bands, Poco played a very nice blend of classics and new material. When a band has developed a lot of material, they always miss some favorites, but they didn't miss any of the energy or the good humor they had 40 (can it be?) years ago. A very fun show, especially since the opening acts were also very enjoyable and the venue is absolutely superb. If you're a fan of Poco, Buffalo Springfield, or similar music, don't miss this tour!!!

    Poco, Firefall, John Edwards

by SteveK1 on 7/18/09Penn's Peak - Jim Thorpe

The venue was superb- Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe, PA. Absolutely gorgeous surroundings, beautiful, intimate interior with great acoustics and unbelievable drink prices- premium mixed drink and a Chardonay- $9! Jonathon Edwards is vibrant and exciting, Firefall is musicianship at it's best, and Poco delivered strong after a shaky start. All bands appeared after their sets to sign autographs.

Poco, Firefall and Jonathan Edwards @Penns Peak

by Longy on 7/18/09Penn's Peak - Jim Thorpe

Exellent show - Firefall was fabulous, rocking more than I would have believed! Poco was legendary, incredable harmonies, but Jonathan Edwards may have stolen this show! Everyone knows "Sunshine" , which he performed , but his other tunes were remarkable, ESPECIALLY his great version of "She Loves You" , the Beatles tune. He and his band were simply GREAT! Penn's Peak is the best venue anywhere to see a show like this. Do yourself a favor and check this classy place out!

    Poco/Firefall/Jonathan Edwards a great mix

by Bthere on 7/18/09Penn's Peak - Jim Thorpe

Three unique sounds blended into a wonderful show. Good to see Edwards with talented sidemen and electric backing. Would have enjoyed hearing Firefall's flute on some of his songs. Firefall a surprise; forgotten how many familiar songs they play, and "jazz" edge welcome. Poco, an alltime favorite, always a reliable good time no matter where they play. Looking forward to seeing them again in August. I hope that Edwards will be an addition to future Poco shows and love to see some interplay with the bands. Penn's Peak a great venue: excellent sight lines, crystal-clear sound, video screen support. Clean place, close parking. Nearly a four-hour show with a couple of quick breaks between acts. The 400-mile round trip for this show easily worth it.

    Poco

by billMe on 7/18/09Penn's Peak - Jim Thorpe

What an incredible night of music at Penn's Peak! The stage lit up around 7:30 and with 2 intermissions the last song played after 11pm! Opening with Jonathan Edwards, a fantastic performer. Everybody Knows Her, and Sunshine were favorites but every tune was great! Firefall's Jock Bartley told us how we would know some of their songs if we ever rode in an elevator but they added the feel and punch back to Just Remember I Love You and You Are the Woman and every song they played. The whole place swayed to the music. The sound folks at the Peak could have done a little better with the microphone mix but the band really overcame the tech issues punching through and bringing smiles all around. The headline act Poco, brought out the emotions in everyone. Rusty Young is an indescribable musician and band lead. His playing lights up every song. Jack Sundrud fills in the bass and vocals and is a perfect fit. His song Hard Country was really from the heart and so timely. Paul Cotton's guitar work was excellent. His solo Magnolia brought tears to many eyes. An excellent entertaining evening that everyone enjoyed.

    Poco and Firefall WAS unforgettable

by DeweyElder on 7/17/09Birchmere - Alexandria

I did not see the band in the 70s and 80s when I was young, so to be able to have a chance to see them in my 50th year was just wonderful. Unforgettable is the word to describe here, I have not forgotten that night, and have been listening to the CD's I purchased that night over and over. Thank you so much for bringing them to VA. If they come again next year, my husbnad and I will make every effort to make it depending on schedules.
