Pieces of a Dream Tickets

This was our first visit to the Birchmere, and we were impressed. The venue is so user-friendly with free parking, organized ticketing procedures, the seating was good for us, and food was good and reasonable. Pieces of a Dream put on a great concert with a nice mix of older and newer songs. It was especially fun with some of James's antics, playing crouched on the floor and weaving through the crowd with the portable keyboard. All members are so talented, and the solos were incredible. No wonder they've been around for more than four decades. Birchmere, we'll be back!

Pieces of A Dream was awesome!!! Great food energy and company. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The show was truly amazing. I have followed the band since their days in Philadelphia where I grew up. I actually attended Masterman Elementary School with James in the 4th grade. He was already a wonder on the piano. I also didn't know that Curtis Harmon was such a beast on the drums, his solo was ridiculous. And I have seen David Dyson pluck that bass for years in the DMV area. I loved every member of the band and loved the young energy they included. Respect forever for a great great show.

Their music is unlike any other. Revive through your whole body and you can feel it and theirs. They have such a variety as well. Still strong!

Live music is always a great time, however this group had the building rocking! Instrumentation was fantastic, and the crowd was vibing. Just wish they had preformed a little longer.

I Totally enjoyed the ambiance, the food and the positive atmosphere. Totally enjoy going to the birchmere.

The show was FIRE! They were all the way live. They went way way back. They kept the crowd engaged.

Now this was a great show with lots of energy and lots of good memories. They still got it.

The concert tickets were a Christmas gift for my hubby. He was pleased with the venue and the show.

I had heard about this performance on the jazz radio station, and without thinking about it, decided I was going to attend. What made this event more special was that I decided to surprise my boyfriend by taking him. We both loved the performance, but wished the band had performed one of their most popular songs, "Fo-Fi-Fo" during their set instead of a piece of it during the encore. The seating in the theatercould have been better, too. We were cramped in the rows with no leg room, and we were sandwiched between heavy-set people.

The only issue I had was there were way too many people in there with COVID in town and the seating were very uncomfortable with no leg room and your knees in the individual in front of you back/neck. On a good note, the performance was outstanding....Pieces of a Dream was awesome. Loved the concert.

The venue was Covid Safe, the sound was amazing and the band was phenomenal!!!!

The Show met beyond expectations..The professional service was great.

After, the event being rescheduled due to the pandemic, I was so excited to get out and enjoy one of my favorite jazz groups. However, Pieces of a Dream fell way short for me :( They sang/played none of their songs, it was merely a ring around the rosy show spotlighting the members of the band playing their instruments. They played a Prince song...why?? All that great music they have, and they played one song at the end of the entire show. The show was each artist show casing the drummer, keyboards, guitar player, but none of their songs/hits!! I have never been so disappointed! This show was a complete " No good!" for me!!

We enjoyed Pieces of Dream both bands played the type of jazz we like.

Great vibes! I always have a good time at the Akron civic theatre. And can't forget to mention that Pieces of a Dream and Hubbs Groove were excellent!

Pieces of a Dream always puts on a great show! Every time the wife and I attend anything at the Akron Civic Theater we are welcomed by a friendly staff along with a clean environment! Can't wait to come back!

The musicians quality was good. However, paying $60.00 per seat for a performance that lasted 50 minutes is not to my liking.
