It was so refreshing to see the traditional circus again. The sounds of the music, thumping horse hooves and whips cracking are exciting at the very least. The smell of the animals is terrific and a memorable experience for young and old. and the tastes of traditional circus foods like popcorn, cotton candy and funnel cakes all help to create an amazing atmosphere that all children should be a part of. We loved it!

Insult to the art of circus

by donnotgo on 7/16/13Germain Arena - Estero

I took my six-year-old daughter and my friends to see the show yesterday to Germain Arena in Estero, FL. What a disappointment! The numbers were just thrown together, no theme, no announcements of the performers. Who are the performers? Do they have names? It is very cheap not to acknowledge their hard work by even mentioning their names. My impression was that the organizers hired cheap labor from different countries without even trying to make a show. The poor elephants pooped all over the stage one after another during the entire performance.... Were they scared? Never again am I supporting the Piccadilly Circus by going to see them.

Not worth it! Pitiful excuse of a circus!

by Jmbig on 5/28/13Piccadilly Circus - Painesville

We attended the Picadilly Circus in Painesville, OH on 5/27/13. First of all, the entire show lasted only about one hour, including an intermission. It is certainly not worth even the half price $14 adult tickets. Might have been worth maybe $5, and that would be generous. There were no clowns, no elephants and not even a peek at a white tiger. There were some fairly lame horseback riders, a low wire act (and even then the guy fell), a dog act and a couple motorcycles running over a jump, and that was about it, for $14 per ticket!!! Can you say RIP OFF?

    Did it once NEVER again

by hrgal616 on 5/21/13Holland Civic Center - Holland

I read all the reviews before we went and I was not expecting anything like Barnum and Bailey's or even the Shrine....but seriously tickets for this kind of show (I wouldn't call it a circus) should be no more than $5 a piece and all activities should be included. They must not have all the acts they advertise go to every venue because there was no boxing kangaroo, no elephants, and the tiger was literally in sight for less than 2 minutes. The only good part of the show was the horses in the beginning (although the loud crack of the whip scared the young kids) and the guy that they tried to pass off as a clown was actually pretty funny. Went once, will not go again. If you do not get a good deal on tickets, I would save your money!! This is the lowest budget "circus" I have ever seen!!

    Piccadilly Circus was terrible!!

by grandmaphyl on 5/9/13Recreation Center - Toledo

My granddaughter and I was excited to go w/ her 3 yr old daughter to the circus. We were very disappointed to say the least. There weren't any animal acts but we did see the white tiger for a few seconds and my granddaughter asked me why the tiger was sad. The acts were mediocre at best and the prices were extremely expensive. I would NEVER go to another Piccadilly Circus again!! Very disappointing!!

Dont waste your time or money.

by NitaRacer33Mom on 4/25/13Hampton University Convocation Center - Hampton

Only one clown who didn't even have a big red nose. See the white tiger maybe for 5 minutes in a cage. The men on horses were not interesting. The guys riding the motorbikes in the round cage was pretty interesting. The best part of the show were the two guys who do acrobats. There strength is amazing! This is a very low budget circus.

    not worth the cost

    by samjoe03 on 4/9/13Ryan Center - Kingston

It was a cute circus for really little ones but not for older kids. I thought the tickets were too pricey for the mediocca show. For the high cost of the tickets, the facepainting, pony rides, blow up slide should have been included.

Not very impressive, and that is not just coming from the adult, my kids, ages 8 and 12 were also not impressed with it either.

Real family fun=a lot of money

by SmithfieldMomof2 on 3/25/13Hampton University Convocation Center - Hampton

So we were excited to take the kids to the circus and they had a good time, but only because we paid extra to feed the animals, get faces painted, and bought overpriced plastic blowup ponies! There were no clowns, as all of the pictures depict. The acrobats were amazing..but the show was just mediocre. Literally there was 15 minutes of acts after the intermission. Just a ploy to make get more of your money. A fun event if you know what you are getting into!

Piccadilly Circus was a waste of money.

by 757Family on 3/25/13Hampton University Convocation Center - Hampton

The best and only memorable part of this "circus" was my 3 yr old riding the miniature pony. The show itself was terrible. The music would stop in the middle of a set, so one of the stage hands had to keep running back and forth to hit the play button on their dj set up. There were no clowns or animals like they advertise - 2 camels and a donkey walking around in a circle do not count!! Wait, there was a white tiger....we briefly saw him in a cage for about 3 seconds. There was a "petting zoo", bounce house slide, and face painting - which you had to pay for tickets for everything. And due to this show being at the Hampton University Convocation Center, you had to pay another $5 to park. Do disgusted and unhappy with this whole experience. Will not go to another Piccadilly Circus ever again.

    The WORST Circus!!

    by BigPhil7 on 3/25/13Hampton Coliseum - Hampton

I'm warning everyone... Do NOT WASTE your $$$! Not enough acts. My 5yo daughter was unhappy that there were no elephants. She was bored & even asked me if we could leave after half time. Really wish I read past reviews first.

    Wasted money Circus event

by Nochele on 3/25/13Hampton University Convocation Center - Hampton

It was boring and over priced. The tiger only came out for a second, the cotton candy and toys were overpriced, and their was only one comedian. No real entertainment except for the cyclist and the worst part was dressing two people up in Halloween costumes and passing them off as transformers... Really cheap, really boring and I had to apologize to my kids for driving 4 hours from NC to see this show. It's not a circus. I wish I could get my money back.

Very family friendly for young ones. Loved the glow cups so adults could have beverage and practical soveneir. Show was entertaining and several varieties of acts. Bounce house & petting zoo included.

    Bang for your buck!

by Brownamu on 3/21/13Bull Run - Centreville

We took a team outing last night, not knowing what to expect. Due to high winds, the show was postponed, but the vendors offered up free concessions in return. The tickets were inexpensive and we were able to see all of the performers coming and going. The half time show allowed us to go take pictures with the acts, which the kids truly enjoyed! Definately something we will go back to and remember as the years go by!

by N119r on 3/14/13The Cabarrus Arena and Events Center - Concord

AWFUL. lights went out on the ring and the act contiuned you could not see the act for the stands. No arena should have such a sorry event on their calendar.

    Piccadilly Circus

by StanDaddy on 3/12/13Winston-Salem Entertainment Sports Complex - Winston-Salem

This was disappointing. I didn't expect Barnum and Bailey but I did expect a full circus. This was literally a 1-ring circus. I believe there were a total of 8 performers. And no elephants.

    Picadilly is awful!

by Leonardfamily on 2/20/13Barton Coliseum - Little Rock

Absolutely was not a true circus! My kids hated it! Nothing like people in tights attempting to dance on horses! No clowns, no lions, nothing that I call a circus! Would love my money back! Spent $70 to go for 3 people and $5 to park! Never again!

I won't attend a Piccadilly Circus again. The animals stunk to the max. I would never let my grandchildren pet those stinking, dirty animals again. The entertainment was second rate. But the prices were big. And then the cost of getting a picture made with circus entertainers was way off the mark, $15.00. I will suggest to my friends that they save thier money.

    3rd rate circus

by laughapalooza on 2/19/13Barton Colliseum - Little Rock

We were drawn to the event because it was advertised as buy one get one free for the adult tickets and child gets in free. So, we were thinking that all three of our family could get into the event for the price of one ticket. After the convenience fee of $5.75 PER TICKET through ticketmaster, along with a $3.45 order processing fee, our "one ticket" cost $44. Still not terrible for a family of 3 to go to the circus. The show was just ok, it did keep out 4 year old entertained so that was good. The bad part there was the price of everything, luckily we had just eaten so no one was starving. The circus has an intermission where they invite the kids down to play certain things and see the animals and have your picture taken, but once again everything costs moolah. Went once, will not go again.
