Phoenix Suns History

As Arizona's original professional sports franchise, the Phoenix Suns were established in the NBA in 1968 and for the last 30 years have been entertaining fans in downtown Phoenix at Footprint Center. The rich history of the franchise includes some of most memorable teams in NBA history, including the 1975–76 "Sunderella Suns," the 1992–93 team that featured Charles Barkley and reached the NBA Finals, and the "Seven Seconds or Less" era teams, during which Steve Nash was twice named the league's MVP.

Enshrined in the Suns’ Ring of Honor are Alvan Adams, Barkley, Tom Chambers, Jerry Colangelo, Walter Davis, Cotton Fitzsimmons, Connie Hawkins, Kevin Johnson, Dan Majerle, Al McCoy, John MacLeod, Nash, Joe Proski, Dick Van Arsdale and Paul Westphal.

The Phoenix Suns had a successful 2020–21 season, winning the Western Conference and narrowly falling in the NBA Finals to the Milwaukee Bucks. The Suns ended the 2021–2022 season with a franchise record of 64 wins and finished with the NBA's best record by eight games above the second best, the league's largest differential in 22 years. They also made back-to-back appearances in the Western Conference semifinals in 2022 and 2023.

Suns vs Grizzlies, treated visiting family to the game.

by Officialbitnizz on 12/28/22Footprint Center - Phoenix

My son & his wife were visiting and this was their first live professional sports event. They had the same amazing experience that I did. Love the arena and nearby parking. Seats were kind of hard. Recently had knee replacement so that became uncomfortable around the 3rd Qtr. Due to limited leg room. But a great time overall.

The game and atmosphere was excellent

by Kevin on 12/26/22Footprint Center - Phoenix

We sat high in upper deck and the fans blowing cold air made it very uncomfortable. If you are sitting in the upper deck you need a hooded sweater or a jacket or you will freeze.

    Money gets in the way

by Clxdds on 12/20/22Footprint Center - Phoenix

The while league and owners need to reassess where the revenue should really cone from. 10 dollars for a small soda and 7 to 8 dollars for water. Please consider what really matters for the league to grow. Think long term instead of short term. At this rate your prices are not sustainable unless you are a top tier team on a top tier city. Could spend same amount of money on Disney parks for over 12 hours of entertainment vs your 3 hours of entertainment. Please work on it.

    Suns 12/1

    by redsox20042007ws on 12/5/22Footprint Center - Phoenix

Was a great game. Houston wound up winning, by a point, after Phoenix led most of the game. The entertainment was horrible. Halftime show was stupid. Food etc. overpriced. DJ needs to play more than rap, during breaks. There are other genres of music, besides rap. Was 1st NBA game for my wife and 2 sons. The entertainment experience, alone will make me think twice about going to another game. I hadn’t been to a game since about 2008.

Game was good. Ticketmaster failed me

by benji on 11/25/22Footprint Center - Phoenix

I purchased a parking ticket for the game. At the parking spot i was told they could not accept my parking ticket because it did not have a qr code. I ended up having to pay for parking even though i had purchased parking ticket from ticketmaster. the game tickets did have qr code and worked fine.

    Suns vs lakers

by Anna on 11/25/22Footprint Center - Phoenix

We went to see the suns vs the lakers and it was fun, it was my sons 9th birthday and we bought tickets with the help of my family, we paid a lot of money. The game was fun and my son was very happy to be there, the seats were small and kind of uncomfortable and hard to get in, for the money we spent I thought we would be closer. We would definitely go more often if we could afford it.

Location, experience and views were all 5 star! Stadium seemed to but freshly upgraded with now video and stats boards along with many different bars, restaurants and open areas to convene. I would definitely visit this arena again!

    Nice Venue

by Rick on 10/15/22Footprint Center - Phoenix

The arena is nice and our seats were great. Disappointed that buying parking with our tickets cost more than it was at the venue. The food choices were okay but not the best. The Hibachi bowl we had was fairly dry. Overall a good experience.
