Excellent show as Phil's always are. Small setting with a relaxed crowd and performers. No set list, just played requests and new songs from his upcoming album for 2 hours. Highly recommended!
The concert was great. Very high energy! Mr. Vassar is an incredibly talented musician, singer & songwriter. He has a great interaction with his audience and leaves us all wanting more. I would see him again and again and not tire of his talents. Thank you Mr Vassar for such an entertaining show.
Phil has such a high energy and fun show and loves making contact with the audience! He took the time to take a photo with me and stayed after the show for awhile to sign autographs. He really makes it an intimate and fun show. I've seen him 2 years in a row and he always puts on a great show. I can't wait for him to return!!
Phil did an awesome job, and it was clear that his band is very talented as well.
I have seen Mr. Vassar many times and many different venues and he takes on a different energy every time. He taylors to his audence and in my opinion that what makes a great entertainer (not to mention nice to look at).
If you haven't see Phil Vassar you should! He puts on a great show!
This was probably the tenth time we have seen phil in concert. He puts on a great show. Phil and his band keeps you entertained the hole show. Thier energy on stage is contagious, and get the crowd invoved in thier show. I would recomend Phil to anyone who enjoyes country music.
Phil Vassar was incredible! His songwriting has made stars out of many people - but I actually like his versions (of his own songs!) better than Tim McGraw's... The show was full of non-stop energy and Joe's was a great venue for it!
As always, an incrediable show!!! Phil is a true entertainer and a must see live in concert. Love him and love his band. They are always a blast to see live.
From the time he comes on stage until he leaves it's like parting with you friends who can play. His energy keeps the show alive and his interaction with the crowed makes them party of the show. If you ever have a chance to see him don't pass it up. Joe's bar is a great place to catch any act but one with Phil make it even better.
Phil hasn't lost a step in the last few years, and the show was awesome! 22 songs over the course of almost 2 hours. Each member of the band sang a cover tune at one point in the show, and each of those songs were excellent as well. He closed with Billy Joel's 'Piano Man'...a fitting song for Phil who plays the piano. I'd definitely see him again, and the price we paid to see him at the San Diego County Fair could not be beat!
Phil Vassar was great. It was our third time seeing him, and he put on a fabulous show. The venue at Del Mar Fairgrounds was more than expected. What a wonderful find and a great time.
Phil rocks illinois every time he comes this is the 4th time i have seen him and has not failed me yet it was great the atmosphere was great and would go again if i get a chance
A perfect evening!!! Phil Vassar is a great entertainer and a super musician. The venue was perfect. Sun setting in the west, cool ocean breezes and hot piano country rock, what a combo. Phl's energy, enthusiasm, and talent were evident during he whole show. He connected with a small but devoted audience and gave a performance that had everyone singing along and cheering wildly. When he jumped up on the piano he raised the energy to another level. His band was talented and their solos were fun and unexpected. The only negatives that I can think of was that the concert was too short and there was no encore,
We heart seeing PHIL anywhere especially at Joe's. This was our 4th time seeing him there and this was the best concert. Even better my friends and I got VIP passes-we got to hang out with him after the concert. AMAZING. If you get the chance to see PHIL @ Joe's or anywhere you won't be disappointed! :)

Phil Vassar played under a great evening sky at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in June. The songs were great , and Phil even played some yet-to-be-released tunes! Standing room only up front as usual... We had dinner seats and the food, even though it was Fair food, was more than fair. He played for a solid 2 hours! He always does. No warm-up bands. Just Phil. This performer is highly under rated; which is fine with me because that means I can get up front seats for next to nothing. Shhhhhh.
Phil was fantastic. He interacted with the audience throughout the whole show and never seemed to slow down. I was able to get his autograph, which is the reason I like small venues. The only drawback that might keep me from going back to Joe's is that they have now started "selected standing". That is ridiculous.
Phil Vassar is a great entertainer. He ranks up there with Garth. He has so much energy and gets the audience involved. Everyone should make it a point to see a Phil Vassar concert. You will not be disappointed. I hope he comes back to Belterra next year.
