The best part was hearing Bowie's original music which allowed us to enjoy the production with out distraction of interpretation of his music by an orchestra. We loved it. My partner said he would come again! I agreed. Beautiful. Disturbing ( maybe that is not the right word) in a thought-provoking way. An unpredictability fantastic show.
I’d have enjoyed the show better with some of the mainstream music; which I assumed would be playing as per the commercials on TV. Otherwise stunning performance!!!
Yes, it was ethereal & deep. We really enjoyed it! The only small thing is I would have loved a few more recognizable Bowie songs, just sayin...( I know the songs were carefully chosen to fit the theme)
This was an incredible show. Seen it at the Edmonton Jubilee. Amazing dancers and effects. Im so hqppy I had the opportunity to see this.

Sound was awesome. Lighting was awesome. The dancers were amazing. A wonderful show and I was glad I experienced it.
Enjoyed every moment of Phi except the loudness of the music. Costumes were incredible. Sets and choreography beautifully told the story of the music. And the unexpected ending brought overwhelming emotion and tears to my eyes. First indoor performance attended in over 2 years. Perhaps it’s only due to my quiet Covid avoiding life but the volume could have been turned down a notch.
Jean Grand-Maître is really going out with a bang! This performance was one of his best! An amazing experience from beginning to end.
My 11 year old granddaughter accompanied me to the Saturday Matinee. It was her first experience with ballet, but she is a huge fan of David Bowie. Molly was on the edge of her seat the whole performance. In our post-event debrief she was bubbling over with comments about the dancers, the staging, the costumes, and special effect lighting. I’m sure this will engender special birthday memories for a long, long time, Hurrah!
This was our first time at the ballet and it was awesome! So well done we will definitely be back!
