An Icon interacts with the aueience

    by davek1 on 3/5/13Pepperdine University - Malibu

When Peter Yarrow stepped on the stage it was an instant "love fest." The whole evening was a singalong with every member of the audience joining Peter in singing the words that we all knew. He brought his son Chris along to play the gut bucket. Later on he invited up on stage a local Peter, Paul and Mary tribute band who sang with him.

    Peter Yarrow

by ECOMOM on 3/5/13Pepperdine University - Malibu

This was one of the most inspirational events that I have ever attended. Peter Yarrow engaged his audience. He invited some of us (the kinds under 40) to be on the stage to sing "Puff the Magic Dragon." He had us singing along throughout the concert. He signed autographs during intermission and afterwards. He asked for requests, and he sang "The Wedding Song" which I requested as did others. After the concert, he asked a number of people that were still there to sing Happy Anniversary to my husband and I who were celebrating our 35 th Wedding Anniversary that night.

    Peter and Paul +Two

by rappinrev on 10/15/12Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

A real stroll down memory lane. Wonderful music and song. Paul and Peter sing well and the banter is just right. Backup musicians very good too. However, Mary's voice was very absent. A video moment with her would have been great.

    Unbelievable !!!!!!!

by Phantom522 on 10/14/12Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

I can't remember a concert I enjoyed more than this one. The memories came flodding back. The warmth of the performers and the audience made this celebration so very special. Even without Mary, it was possible to see and hear her through the love and admiration exhibited by all present. A truely memorable evening.

Peter & Paul Still Amazing Even Without Mary

by Littlejoey49 on 10/14/12Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

Although Mary is missed, Peter Yarrow and Noel Paul Stookey deliver everything you loved about PPM. Nostalgia, emotion and warmth plus their special type of humor. If you love PPM - don't miss this show.

    Great Evening!!

by DMarge on 10/14/12Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

Intimate theater setting enhanced quality of an already outstanding performance. Songs evoked many fond memories of earlier Peter, Paul & Mary performances.

    Very good, but...

by StevenZ on 10/14/12Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

I'm glad I saw this show and I enjoyed it very much. But, Mary was missed!. I understand that Mary can never be replaced, but, some of the songs performed (e.g. "Leaving on a Jet Plane") just weren't the same without Mary's part. Other songs like "500 Miles" and "Cruel War", etc) couldn't be perfored at all. I think I would have enjoyed it even more if there was some one to sing Mary's part.

    Had me from the start!

by kessie on 10/14/12Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

Great concert they had me fron the start when Peter and Noel were talking over each other doing seperate intros because Mary wasn't there to keep them organized:) Mary's spirit and harmony seemed to be there all night. Guys were in great voice, sang all the old favorites and Noel sang a great new song Cue the Moon. The night was as much fun as any P,P+M concert , although Mary was truely missed, the guys carried the night!

An Evening Filled with Love and Memories

by chazanit on 10/14/12Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

What a wonderful evening! . After 50 years together (I may still have the PP&M LP "Ten Years Together"!), they are still amazing musicians -- and still staunchly committed to the pursuit of peace and equality. While Mary Travers was still living, they wrote the lyrics to Mark Wills' song "Don't Laugh at Me," which has become an anthem of the anti-bullying movement. Both Peter and Paul evoked individual and collective memories of their lifelong friend and colleague -- while letting the membbers of the audience express theirs in song. It was a great event -- and I'm glad I was lucky enough to be there. But why, oh why, did the Bergen PAC program contain no information whatsoever about thie show itself? I'm sure many of us would have treasured it as a souvenir of this remarkable event -- but the only mention of the concert was on your Calendar of Events insert stapled into the center.

    Very disappointed

by Anonymous on 6/11/12Mayo Civic Center Presentation Hall - Rochester

We came to what we thougth would be a concert, not a promotion for books or his other interests. Those interests are indeed admirable, but not what we came to hear. We were very disappointed.

Peter Yarrow with his son Christopher--excellent!

by Lovey2 on 1/26/12Temple for the Performing Arts - Des Moines

One of the best concerts I've been to in a long while. Peter Yarrow really knows how to personally relate to his audience--taking requests both during the concert and at intermission and then working them all in. He is very accessible--both from the stage and in person during intermission and before and after the concert. The audience was invited to sing along with almost all his songs--a great delight! A warm, wonderful evening--I'm still humming the tunes and hearing the lyrics in my head!

    What a fun evening!

by 2thdoctr on 9/6/11Squitieri Studio Theatre - Gainesville

Peter Yarrow still has the knack for keeping his audience entertained! Of course, he does infuse his left-leaning political views into his program, but that is just his way. He is a very likeable fellow and comes across as warm and genuine. Thank you, Peter, for not only a fun-filled evening, but for all of the decades of musical inspiration!

Peter & Paul have a way of getting the audience to participate and create enough energy to light the auditorium. The addition of Paul and Seth adds variety to their concerts and it was enjoyable to see Peter come out after the concert. (Bob and I actually walked with him toward the table where he signed copies of his books. He held Bob's hand for a short while - a gesture of friendship,..and hurry, come along!) Bob and I have seen numerous Peter, Paul and Mary concerts and now Peter and Paul's. It was Bob's 1st concert (Washington DC - early '60's while on vacation with his parents), our first Date (December 1964), and our sons' first concert (at Ravinia). - We always enjoyed waiting after their concert to see all three of them. Keep the light burning!

    What Memories

by Nonielee on 5/23/11Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

I had a box seat and a great view of the stage. I love these guys. They encourage the audience to sing a long with them. I grew up singing these songs and they are timeless.

    Peter, Paul, but no Mary

by Suzieq109 on 5/23/11Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

I went with roomates from my college days. We had a great time and the seats were great! It was a wonderful trip down memory lane. I was pleasantly surprised at the range of ages of the audience. If you go to see Peter and Paul, plan to participate. The Rialto in Joliet is awesome.

Peter and Paul give a good show!

by MissDitter on 5/23/11Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

We had a wonderful time at this show. Several of us enjoyed singing along to fill in Mary's parts... One of us really wished that Peter & Paul would just hire a strong female vocalist to sing Mary's parts and "do justice to the songs and the harmonies." We enjoyed Seth's sign language performance as well. We had some issues with the staff of the Rialto Square Theatre, but the show itself was very good!
