  • Great way to spend New Year's

by wheresmytea on 1/4/14Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome show, so much better than a typical NYE out. I'm a fan of Pete Holmes, Hannibal Buress, and Moshe Kasher and they did great. I had never seen Rory Scovel who killed it for me, and Bert Kreischer, Doug Benson, and Imaginary Radio were very funny. Only Jessimae Peluso seemed a bit out of her league here standing in for Natasha Leggero. Nob Hill Masonic is a solid venue for comedy- great sound, well lit, beautiful lobby, nice staff, ample bathrooms downstairs. The seats themselves are a bit older without a ton of legroom but they were fine. They let you bring drinks to your seats which was a plus. Dropping a ton of balloons at the end of the countdown was a surprisingly fun touch.

  • Best show ever

I can not form the words to truly describe how awesome this show was. I love comedy and all these comedians. I was nervous about the short sets, but they all brought it and more. Definatly going next year!

Great night! Loved the variety of comedians, the fact you could by drinks & take them to your seats & nice touch with balloon drop at midnight.

Fun and hilarious. Many of my favored comedians in one place! You can walk to Nob Hill Center from Bart (as long as you don't mind trekking up San Francisco hills). Plenty of good restaurants in the area- makes for an excellent date.

  • Pete Holmes was wonderful!

by Colonialguy on 12/3/13Paradise Rock Club - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

The doors opened at 7:00 and by 8:00 the house was packed. We had great seats stageside, although in such a small venue there weren't really any bad seats. Also, very greateful that they had actual seats set up. It seemed like a really long wait till things got started, but the 2 opening acts got things going around 8:15. Pete came on around 9:00, and the crowd just went crazy. He was wonderful, he riffed on Boston, the word "retarded", Phone sex, gravity, Mr. Peanut...he interacted with members of theaudience in a good way. Although some of his material is very blue, he avoids the mean-spirited cynicism of some comics. He also hung around after the show and greeted people personally. A very happy experience!

  • My favorite comedian.

by DanRNicknamesarestupid on 12/3/13Paradise Rock Club - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

I really like Pete Holmes for his podcast You Made It Weird, and I think his standup is great. Pete is definitely my favorite comedian. He's certainly not for everybody, but again, he my favorite and he has a loyal base. Pete isn't afraid of letting a joke die, only to dig in a little deeper, and make it hilarious. He lets the audience know that he is also there for the ride. Pete's experience of being religious, going to college, marrying young, becoming a comedian, getting a divorce and loosing most of his religion greatly informs his comedy, and he has a great sense of wonder and amazement about the world around him.

Pete was great, it was the essence of what makes his podcast and his video shorts online so funny.

  • Pete Holmes was hilarious!

by BarryR on 4/29/13The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater - Miami BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Pete Holmes was easily one of the best live events I have ever been present for. His new jokes were hilarious, his crowd work and riffing was impeccable and very entertaining, and it was great that he did some of his best old jokes at the end of his set. If Pete is in your area he is more than worth going out to see.

I was worried it would be standing, but Paradise Rock Club set up chairs that were general admission. It was a great set up for a comedy show. All the comics were great, especially Pete Holmes. I'd definitely see him again, especially here. Not a bad seat in the place.

I felt really lucky to get to see Pete in such an intimate venue - I have a feeling that will be impossible a year from now. He riffed so much and kept us continuously laughing. I had to keep interrupting my laughs to start in on new ones. Pete is such a strong, natural showman and he seemed to be having a really fun time entertaining us as well. One of the greats.

Just a great show from all three comedians. Really fun audience and a packed house with a ton of people having to stand. I wish more comedy came to Boston, because there really is a market for it, but not a lot of venues for it.
