Pensacola Ice Flyers at Pensacola Bay Center
The Pensacola Ice Flyers are the sole professional hockey team on Florida's Emerald Coast. Their downtown location and family-friendly on-ice entertainment offers a unique experience that is enjoyable for all ages. With 28 home games scheduled throughout the season, attendees can stop by the Pensacola Bay Center beginning each October to watch the exhilarating action. The Ice Flyers host theme nights including Dog Race Nights, Star Wars Night, Mardi Gras Night, Bushwackers Night, and multiple Military Appreciation Nights. Single-Game Tickets start at an affordable $17, while a range of Season Ticket plans are available to cater to every budget and schedule.
Pensacola Ice Flyers Background
The Pensacola Ice Flyers were founded in 2009, following the Ice Pilots who had been part of the ECHL since 1996. The team began playing at the Pensacola Bay Center in the 2009-10 season as a member of the SPHL. Since then, the Ice Flyers have become one of the top teams in the league, winning multiple championships and making a significant impact on the community. The team is owned by Greg Harris, who took over in 2012. With four President's Cup championships, they are tied for most in league history. Their attendance numbers consistently rank in the top three in the league. The Ice Flyers will celebrate their 15th anniversary during the 2023-24 season.
The Pensacola Ice Flyers game was a lot of fun to watch. The fan participation outside of the rink, and the game on the rink, were both exciting. I highly recommend going to a game!!
Children's team have played smarter than what the home team displays. Very disappointing, will not return.
Well worth the $30.00 per ticket to get from the row behind the glass seats !! Action packed all night long, a real great family or friends event to attend ! I would highly recommend this to everyone.
We had a blast Friday night at the Ice Flyers Game. The crowd was super engaging (including us) young and old were chanting and cheering! The BEST part was they won and they deserved the win .... they played hard! I didn't know I liked hockey until my friend offered us tickets a few years ago and we had a blast and now I am hooked! Can't wait until the next game!
Simply stated, When we could see the game, it was great. However, Seats in Section 117, Row C, Seats 9&10 were directly adjacent to the visitors bench. I had a great view of the team's reserve hickey sticks, the back of the equipment manager, and once in a while when the players sat down & equipment manager moved, the game on that part of the ice. As far as returning. Yes, but definitely nt in those seats or that general area.
Amazing hockey game but the seats I paid too much for were horrible. We wound up sitting in three different sections for each period which turned out fine. We will be back next year but will buy the CHEAP SEATS.
It was our first Ice Flyers game, so we didn't know what to expect. We had been to plenty NHL games, but always had to sit up in the nosebleeds because of ticket prices. We were excited to get to our seats and find out how close they were. We were able to see all the action. Especially the fights. We will definitely be attending more Ice Flyers games in the future.
My grandson and I had a great time! We enjoyed the game so much! He even got a puck as an unforgettable souvenir!

We really enjoyed the event. There was plenty of action, of course, the entertainment between periods was amusing, plenty of food and beverages. You need to dress warmly and have earplugs if you are sensitive to noise. The PS system was way too loud.
Segal fights are my favorite parts of the event. On this particular event I was chosen to assist with the flag which was pretty amazing especially for my kids who got to stay behind and snap photos.
rhis was my first experience at a hockey game. Seats were priced well and the game was good. Lots of action. Getting to the arena was easy and parking only cost us $5. Fun family activity.
Great game ended in overtime shoot out with a come from behind win for the Flyers!
No complaints about a $5 per ticket hockey night in Pensacola. The locals were dominated by the visiting team. The Bay Center desperately needs to increase their staffing at concession stands. Many of us were on huge lines missing the action on the ice because of inadequate and slow staff. It was supposed to be free hockey towel night as the doors opened. Someone forgot to tell the staff as the towels were not available for most of the first hour after opening. All OK for $5. Had I paid $30 per seat I would not have been happy.
Well, this was a real experience to say the least. Having gone to numerous NHL games this was a first for me. Crowd was insane, kept the night very active and I pity the opposing teams that play here! Even though the home team was shutout 4-0 the fans did their best to feel like they won. Could have been the one player (Segal) who had fights in the first and second periods and was being baited towards the end of the game as well. Players play hard to get exposed to opportunities, only downside was the refs were horrible. They will never move to the next level and the fans let them know all game. Would definetly go back and see another game here when in the area!
I really enjoyed this game. The crowd was into it the whole time and the action in the ice was much better than expected. It was nice that they closed the upper decks. This made all of the crowd more electric, because they were not spread out all over the building. I will definitely be coming back.

Excellent game. Entertainment was family oriented and fun! Mr. Rodrigues with a two-fer in the net and MR. Segal with a ONE PUNCH TAKE-DOWN of the Ice Bear that dared to scrap with him! Good fun!!
This was the first hockey game I have been to and it was definitely a good experience. There is not a bad seat in the stadium. I will definitely be coming back.
