Penn State Nittany Lions Football at Beaver Stadium
One of the most storied programs in college football history, the Penn State Nittany Lions offer a game-day experience second to none. Generations of Penn State fans congregate on Saturday morning in the Beaver Stadium parking lot for an iconic tailgate experience. Then the Blue Band's thunderous music sets the stage for 106,000+ excited fans as they welcome the team out onto the field chanting "We are Penn State! We are Penn State!" The Beav was voted USA Today's "Ultimate Stadium" in 2019, and it's the longtime home to the seven-time national champion Nittany Lions. The program has churned out NFL talents like steady running back Larry Johnson, punishing linebacker LaVar Arrington, Hall of Famers Franco Harris and Mike Munchak and, most recently, the dazzling Saquon Barkley of the New York Giants. The storied student section is one of the largest in the country, and they set the tone for loud and energetic marquee match-ups against Big Ten conference opponents like the Ohio State Buckeyes, Michigan Wolverines and Indiana Hoosiers. And while State College's temperatures can get cold in the dawn of winter, it feels like all of Happy Valley is at the stadium and the weather's nothing that a thick pair of gloves and a second (or third) layer can't take care of.

They have an overall bowl game record of 29-18-2, including a sparkling 7-0 record in the Fiesta Bowl, and they've been to a bowl game every year under current coach James Franklin.

Each time in happy valley is just the best experience
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful at Beaver Stadium. We had a good time except for the seat back rentals causes the fans using them infringes on your leg space. The space is tight to begin with but this makes it impossible to enjoy the game if they lean back in this chair.
The venue was awesome, if you have not been there its an experience you have to have, the students make ut magical, the tailgating is classy, the stadium is beautiful, and the campus and people are awesome.
No service at stadium so the tickets can't be scanned from the phone or off of Google pay app.
From start to finish, the Penn State football game experience at Beaver Stadium is fabulous -- the Blue Band's performance at the Indiana game was outstanding, as usual; the team put on an awesome performance, shutting out Indiana, 24-0, the first time the Hoosiers were shut out in more than two decades; and the crowd was engaged in all the action for the entire game. It was a beautiful experience
My husband and I are both claustrophobic. We ordered what we thought were aisle seats, but they were the exact opposite, all the way in, pinned against the side. Fortunately, the people with the seats next to us never showed up so we were okay. The thing I am most disappointed with is that I signed up for ticket protection and Ticketmaster never submitted the request to the insurance company. The email I got from Ticketmaster said I signed up for it, but when I called the insurance company they didn’t have any records for this event. The customer service representative said it has been happening a lot. And the you can’t talk to a person at Ticketmaster. I will avoid making purchases from Ticketmaster in the future if possible.
Easy to aquire the tickets for the game. Will definitely use Ticketmaster again
Fantastic weather and great seats for my first ever Penn State game. Went with longtime friends and made several new friend. Definitely a great experience! Already want to go to another game in Happy Valley!
Me and 105 thousand friends had a blast! The game was good the crowd was great the atmosphere was awesome! The Penn State community did an awesome job at remembering and honoring those that died in the 9-11 attacks. They had a flyover with helicopters. It was awesome from beginning to the final tick of the clock. The parking was perfect and we were home at a very speedy time.
PENN STATE!!!! the area needs better cell phone coverage
Great to be back! Awesome environment, atmosphere, and experience!
Well.....it's Penn State! Concessions are VERY cheap compared to other big events. Traffic is down to a science. The atmosphere is electric. The crowd is very family friendly as well. All around great time for the family plus the football team is pretty good!!!!!!
I've had many great experiences at Beaver Stadium over the years, but the one thing that they really need to improve upon is the variety and in some cases the quality of the food served at the concession stands. Most entertainment venues have been expanding their food options and in some cases even create their own specialty food items. I think it is time for Beaver Stadium to do the same. Most recently I purchased a grilled chicken sandwich and I'm sorry to say it was not a grilled chicken breast as you would expect. In fact, it was worse than ANY fast food chain. It appears to have been mechanically separated chicken parts which included ground up tendons that was formed into a grilled chicken patty. It was TERRIBLE and Penn State Athletics should be embarrassed to serve such substandard food.
The Nittany Lions were outstanding ! The entire event was outstanding. I can't get over how well Penn State played.
Enjoyed every minute of the Penn State matchup with Purdue. Got to sit in the good seats with my Dad like we used to back in the day.
First Penn State game ever, was born and raised a PSU fan. Not a bad seat in the house, crowd was at a near capacity 106,500 people but didn’t feel like it at all. Great atmosphere, exceeded every expectation I’d had going in to it.
Beaver Stadium is gorgeous! Love the views and the crowds are electrifying!
The seats were good despite being high up. Getting in and out of parking lot couldn't have been easier thanks to all the police directing traffic. Overall had a great Saturday afternoon watching my favorite college team
It had been over 20 years since my last home football game experience in Happy Valley, and this was by far, the most fun I've ever had at a football game. The energy in and around Beaver Stadium on game day, before and during the game is incredible. I will be back for many more games in the future. This time it won't be 20 years until I come back. Thank you for the wonderful memories made Saturday.
