About

Iconic musician, producer, director, and performance artist, Peaches first catapulted to stardom with her 2000 debut, The Teaches of Peaches, which introduced the world to her sexually transgressive, fiercely assertive, and utterly captivating persona. Since then, Peaches has released four more trailblazing albums, won the prestigious Polaris Heritage Prize, collaborated with everyone from Iggy Pop and Daft Punk to Christina Aguilera and Yoko Ono, landed songs in cultural watermarks like Lost in Translation and The Handmaid's Tale, and seen her work studied at universities around the world.

In addition to her musical output, Peaches has directed over 20 videos, co-curated a photo book of her life, created a host of immersive installations and performative works, and penned the electro-rock opera Peaches Does Herself, which was adapted into a film shown at over 70 festivals. The subject of two acclaimed documentaries, Peaches has also played the title role in Monteverdi's L'Orfeo and Brecht's The Seven Deadly Sins and continues to perform her widely lauded one-woman show, Peaches Christ Superstar.

Peaches' first album in 10+ years entitled No Lube So Rude is set for release in 2026. Peaches says of the new music "When the world is friction, lube isn't a luxury. It's a necessity. It's how you turn that friction into pleasure, into power, into pride. I want people to understand that they can still have a voice no matter who they are or what the world says about them. Now more than ever, there are so many forces that just want you to give up and be quiet. If this album can help you resist that, then that's what it's for."

  • Peaches is a must!

by Jainesy on 11/28/09The Regency Ballroom - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

I've rarely seen anyone bring more energy, integrity, creativity and raw kick-assedness to a concert than Peaches did last night. She completely rocked it. A unique talent for party freaks, rock intelligentsia, hip hoppers and anybody else who loves high energy, ballsy music.

  • Peaches puts on an amazing show.

What is true of any great artist is true of Peaches.... She puts on one hell of a Live show. I've seen her 4 times and I would see her a thousand more. Amazing.

Yes, Peaches is campy and it's always fun to see her CRAZY costumes, but she used to be funny. Now she's just getting old and creepy.

  • Aweosme, as always

If you know Peaches, then you know what she's like- and the night's show saw Peaches the artist, Peaches the entertainer, and Peaches the sexual revolutionist at their very best: champagne thrown into the crowd, crowd walking and surfing through Terminal 5, the works. Great opening acts too, I'm glad Jessica 6 are finally putting their genius out there. A fantastic show.

Peaches rocked the house. Three encores. Played all her best hits.

  • Skanktastic!

    by Dadaboy on 11/17/09Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

She was amazing...Multiple costume changes, video trickery, crowd surfing (she performed two tracks while being held upright out in the audience!) lasers programmed like theremins. She hit all the classics, and threw in a well considered group of trracks she didn't perform last time around at Webster Hall ("Slippery Dick", "Fatherf*cker"). Two multi-track encores. Fans will leave happy, and newbies converted. Leave the kids at home! ;-)

  • Peaches was good but Amanda Blank was great!

    by Sofrito62 on 11/16/09Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

I was not familiar with any of the artists on the bill--the tickets were a gift for a friend. I really enjoyed all three performers but Amanda Blank really stood out for me. Her stage presence was fun and her music & rap was original and kicking. I became an instant fan and will definitely keep an eye out for her in the future. The headliner, Peaches, was good and her look/act/persona reminds me very much of those fab, over-the-top, arty German acts from the 80's. She was fun. This was also my first time at this venue, Terminal 5, and it was fantastic!

i love peaches! she is always awesome!! my only complaint was that she kept on making us believe that she was performing her last song when that was not the case. her 'encore' was 6-7 songs... as i was leaving she went back on stage and i wound up with a crap view of the performance.

  • Peaches was a blast!

    by Harvestmoon on 11/15/09Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

She's loveable even when she's ballsy. She's everybody's kid sister doing the BIG strong rock star stuff full tilt boogie with considerable power and charm. Her costumes are great. Her band is tight, her showmanship is high energy. Laser light encore was cool. "Fuck the Pain Away" remains one of the greatest electro-pop songs ever written.

as many costume changes as songs. wicked light shows. peaches managed to take the worst venue in manhattan and make it work.

  • Peaches = AMAZING

    by Shellybean23 on 11/12/09Center Stage Theatre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

This was hands down the best concert I have ever been to! Her opener was awesome and had a great vibe. I will definitely be listening to their music in the future. Peaches was nothing short of incredible! She started with Mud, which I thought was a strange choice, but it really worked in getting everybody worked up. She was on GO thru the whole performance, jumping into and standing on the crowd, jumping off of equipment, lots of costume changes, playing with her band, getting the audience to take their shirts off, spitting blood on people, and just being a total sexy badass about everything. She pretty much went through all of I Feel Cream, and some songs from her other albums as well, including Fuck the Pain Away. She did TWO encores which blew my mind. This was my first time seeing her in concert. I live two hours from the concert venue, it was a Monday night, and I had work the next day, but she was so awesome I would gladly make the trip again if she returns to Atlanta! If you get a chance to she her show, I highly recommend it!

  • What a fantastic experience

by spasticfantastic on 11/11/09Center Stage Theatre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

I had never been to a concert in a small venue with moshpits and crowdsurfing before. Peaches sure knows how to have fun! She was throwing herself all over the audience and hanging from water pipes! I am very short and it was sort of uncomfortable flighting with ppl who were bigger than me but the moshpit actually threw me to the very front row! I've never felt that sort of energy before. I'll make sure to wear less next time I go to one because she gets going and we got pumpin!
