Very Disappointing
by Jb on 12/14/22Bethel Woods Center for the Arts - BethelRating: 1 out of 5Snow was forecast the night that I had tickets. Per the policy, the event goes on rain or shine. So, we bundled up and headed out!
Once we got there (2-hour drive), the signs were horrible. We missed the turn to get on line. We realized that and doubled back. On the way to the starting point, the path zigzagged and there were no signs. I was expecting at least something that said, “this way” “you’re on the right path”, etc. In addition, you would think there would be lanterns or reflectors on the path – nothing! I suspect that snow is common in this area. So, nothing special to make it easier to navigate?
The actual light show was fine. Nothing special, but adequate.
My group was looking forward to the festivities afterward – the holiday hub, cocoa, vendors, etc. We encountered a small snow-covered sign that said, “holiday hub parking,” but it was not evident where the holiday hub was. So, we got out of the car and walked on a path that we saw others walking on. The path was hidden and not shoveled. We entered what we found out, by accident, was the museum. When we entered, the woman at the desk told us the holiday hub was closed!
NOW, IF YOU MAKE PEOPLE SHOW UP RAIN OR SHINE, THEN EVERYTHING SHOULD BE OPEN RAIN OR SHINE!!!!!!
This entire even was disappointing and not worth the time or money.
