PBR: Unleash the Beast on Tour

PBR: Unleash the Beast is the biggest annual series in bull riding — the toughest eight seconds in sports, played out again and again from city to city, pitting the most rugged riders against the baddest bulls. Each two-day stop kicks off with pyrotechnics, but the explosions and flames are quickly outdone by the rides themselves — 35 matchups divided into three rounds of dirt-flinging, arm-flailing and fierce performances by all of the athletes in the arena, human and animal alike. In between, the world's most well-known rodeo clown, the beloved Flint Rasmussen, cuts through the tension with humor tailored to each city. Unleash the Beast brings 750 tons of dirt, 65 tons of steer and 25 tons of steel fencing to every venue on the tour. Each rider faces all of that weight as he competes to qualify for the PBR World Finals, where the winner will walk away with $1 million and the coveted gold belt buckle.

PBR: Unleash the Beast Background

The Professional Bull Riders organization was founded by 20 riders who each brought $1,000 to the table back in 1993. Their goal? To bring their sport to the mainstream, increasing public interest and also prize money for the athletes who risk their lives in the arena. They more than succeeded, boosting annual attendance from 310,000 in 1995 to over 3 million today, while securing major television coverage for their top competitions, while awarding more than $180 million to riders over the years. Though PBR: Unleash the Beast began as the Built Ford Tough Series in 2003, it's been the same gold-standard series throughout, with any rule changes along the way meant to make it a fairer and more thrilling contest. The PBR ranks both bulls and riders, ensuring the best of the best lock horns, so to speak, at every stop.

We enjoyed this afternoon event as a family! We were in the upper section but everything was loud enough to hear and the screens helped show the action. I’m definitely going back next year!

Enjoyed both days of the PBR with my mom. Great ADA seats for mom's wheelchair. All around fun time out of the house.

It was a wonderful time at the BOK in Tulsa, OK. Arena was full and cool. The Wranglers were exceptional and kept the Cowboys safe. The Bulls were top notch and the Cowboys were tough as nails. It was a fun time for all from the youngest to the oldest Buckaroo.

    by K.Ry on 1/18/19Allstate Arena - RosemontRating: 5 out of 5

I was amazed at how dangerous this sport is! It is definitely exciting and learned a lot! Show definitely enlisted crowd participation. Family friendly, but fun time for adults as well! I recommend!

  • Loved the Bull Riding!

by Sandy on 1/18/19Allstate Arena - RosemontRating: 4 out of 5

Really enjoyed my first bull riding event. The arena was not so good. Seats were small and no leg room, worse than an airplane.

  • Pretty good

by Gimmin on 1/16/19Allstate Arena - RosemontRating: 4 out of 5

Had a great time overall. The chairs however were for the suck. Anyone 6 foot or over your knees will be touching the person in front of you. I felt like the allstate arena was built for junior high school aged people.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the rodeo. The rides were full of action and the time in between rides was full of action, as well, with the clowns entertaining the crowd. We will definitely come visit again.

  • Great first time experience

by ttguy on 1/16/19Allstate Arena - RosemontRating: 4 out of 5

The PBR put on a great show. Very professional presentation. Some wild rides for sure! The entertainer was fabulous and a real crowd pleaser. The only negative aspect was just like any other event. People that go there to eat. Please eat before or after the show instead of having the entire row get up time and time again (or select end seats). Clearly many in this crowd like to wear a big Texan hat, but that does make it hard for some to see around you.

  • 1st PBR SHOW

by Cynthia on 1/16/19Allstate Arena - RosemontRating: 5 out of 5

I know I always wanted to see PBR up close and personal not just over the television, so I decided to look up prices on tickets, to my surprise they were very affordable. My brother had just gotten into town from Georgia and I thought what better way to bond with my brother than to go to a show. So I got tickets in section 100. The show was more than what I expected. It was such an amazing show. The very beginning they had a firework show and it blew my mind. The clown guy was super entertaining. Overall that was the best experience I have had. I highly recommend seeing this show in person at least once in your life. The guys at the end all came down to sign my cup as well.

  • It was OK

    by W. V. on 1/15/19Allstate Arena - RosemontRating: 3 out of 5

It was my 1st time at the PBR and honestly, I wasn't impressed, The show was missing some pizaaazz.. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it seems like they needed a more animated speaker, someone who can get the crowd involved. The event was very short and it seemed like it was put for TV edit rather than for a live crowd. I would loved to see the Bull riders speak on the mike a bit more, not just make a less than 10 second appearance and not be heard of for the rest of the show.

  • Great Time

    by R. P. on 1/15/19Allstate Arena - RosemontRating: 4 out of 5

Allstate arena provides a decent view no matter where you sit. But if you're sitting on the second level, one of the speakers will be in the way of the screen no matter what. They don't block your view of the arena, just the screen. Otherwise we had a good time, PBR puts on quite the show!

  • Great Date Night!

by Lorie and Mike on 1/15/19Allstate Arena - RosemontRating: 4 out of 5

For first time PBR experience, we had a blast! Venue was great and the “show” was exciting. Who knew how long 8 seconds really is while trying to stay on a 1500lb bucking bull!
