    Worth checking out!

So glad I went to this. I grew up listening to her and she still has it. Super nice lady and still has the moves. VIP tickets are not really worth it unless you get meet and greet as well. But the show is good and well worth seeing. She looks amazing.

    Get On Your Feet!

by Crazyfeet on 10/28/18Four Winds Casino - New Buffalo

It was a fantastic show! From the moment Paula stepped onto the stage until the finally, the New Buffalo, MI crowd were on their feet singing and dancing. Including such a variety of technology brought the music alive for a new generation; all enhanced by the theatrical events displayed chronicling Paula's journey. If you want to stand on your feet, singing and dancing along with this dynamic performer, take your feet to see this show!...even if you have to drive four hours like our crowd did!

Paula Abdul at Hard Rock Live Northfield, Ohio

by Kangaroo109 on 10/27/18Hard Rock Live - Northfield

It was a concept show depicted as a mini-musical and enhanced with digital animation which portrayed Paula Abdul's life beginning with her tryouts to become a cheerleader for the Los Angeles Lakers. I thought it was a mixed bagged with the show's pace as the biggest liability in such a format. I suspect the concept was chosen for various reasons including Paula's personal desire but also to cover for a limited repertoire and her reduced capacity as a performer. She no longer moves like she once does but her near impeccable arm-styling sells it. It included a new MC Scat Cat video which I liked but the choreography to "Opposites Attract" was somewhat tame. I liked the ballroom dance elements incorporated in "Rush Rush." The opening number "(It's just) The Way That You Love Me" was strong. The animation for "Blowing Kisses in the Wind" was sublime. The back story was Paula's rehab from injuries suffered in a plane crash. "Crazy Cool" was, well, cool. I have no doubt much of it was pre-recorded which explains why there was no encore. However, I didn't think there was a drastic change in how she talked in the mic vs what came over the loudspeaker. The show overall is hit and miss but what I'll remember the most is it's use of holograms and virtual reality technology and while the show's concept might not be for everyone, it can still be enjoyed as eye-candy or a visual treat.

    Paula Abdul Biloxi

by Anonymous on 10/24/18Hard Rock Live - Biloxi

Really disappointing. Copycat theme like Beautiful or Jersey Boys but it just didn't work. Too much video!! First 2-3 acts received little to no applause. The acts with her and the dance troupe were good.

VERY LAME! More of an artsy documentary or play!

by JaysonSlade on 10/24/18Hard Rock Live - Biloxi

THE VENUE IS GREAT! But we were pretty disappointed in the Paula Abdul show. We might have had a better opinion if it had been billed as a play or documentary play. She played hoaky videos and told a somewhat strange variation of her life story for basically the first hour. No actual songs for nearly an hour. It wasn't even much of a concert until towards the end. Too many artists try to "change it up" and "reinvent themselves" instead of just playing the music we came to hear. We had no interest in seeing a lame version of Behind the Music on our date night, Saturday night. We actually came to hear the music. I could have been perfectly happy with her singing her 10 songs or so, maybe a cover or two, and throwing in some stories to mix it up. But this was ridiculous. The Hard Rock is known for being a nice local venue with great shows, month after month. It's consistently the place to be. But this show was NOT a good show. This was subpar at best. Not the fault of the venue, but the fault of the artist. Too bad she fell off the stage during an actual song. I missed it though. I'd already lost interest about an hour earlier.

    Amazing Show!

by cjravenfan91 on 10/23/18Hardrock Live (Hardrock Cafe) - Biloxi

Paula was amazing. After all these years, she's still got it! I had a really great show. The only bad thing I could say about the show is it wasn't long enough. It was about an hour, but some of her hits weren't included. She has 3 albums with a lot of great songs, but only 10 and a half songs were performed. She did lip-sync over re-recorded tracks. I didn't mind this because if she was lip-syncing to the cds I would have been disappointed, but you could hear where she changed how the songs were originally sang. Many singers do this. Before the tour, they go to a recording studio and re-record all of their material so it can be different. They sing some parts higher, they add unique runs, etc. The best part of the show is how much Paula gives to her fans. She gives 1000%. She loves her fans a lot. She even wanted to reach out and touch us and fell in the process. Luckily, she wasn't injured. During her last song, she run out into the audience and sang Forever Your Girl while greeting her fans. It was a wonderful experience. The only thing I didn't like is how the organizing of the VIP meet and greet was set up. We paid all of this money and were told to be present at 3:30. We didn't actually go back until 5pm. The meet and greet ended at 5:45 and we were told to come back at 6:15 for early entrance. Why not just let us stay in the room. We literally walked out of the venue and stood at the doors for about 20 minutes only to be let right back in. The organizers are not very good. Also they would not let us use our phones to take our pictures saying they had a professional photographer who would take a picture of us and upload it on the website. The pictures are HORRIBLE quality. My photos were blurry and not HD. I was upset about that because it's a memorable moment getting to meet someone you admire and you have a horrible low quality picture to remember it with. We also paid a lot of money for the experience. However, Paula was so kind and sweet. She really loves her fans. I really enjoyed meeting her. And lastly, for everyone leaving bad reviews, come on this is Paula Abdul. She was never known for her amazing singing skills. She is no Whitney Houston or Mariah Carey and she never claimed to be. Yes she did lip-sync but who cares, you knew she was going to do it before you came. She sang along with a backing track. I love Paula's voice. It's cute. Especially during Straight Up, when she sang live towards the end, it was great. What other singers do you know in their 50s who sing live and DANCE 100 percent throughout the show. I'm not talking about clap, kick, step side to side dancing. I'm talking about full on choreographed numbers, stunts like jumping off of 20 foot ladders, etc. She really gave her all in the show and I'm proud of her!

    Bad Lip Syncing

by Randy1964 on 10/23/18Hard Rock Live - Biloxi

Her dancing was good until she fell off stage, but her lip syncing skills were horrible. It sounded like they used her 90's soundtracks because when she would speak her voice wasn't the same. She tried to get personal in her stage show but it didn't work.
