Paul Revere and the Raiders---whatta a GREAT SHOW

    by Cuddystaxi on 3/10/14Snoqualmie Casino-Ballroom - Snoqualmie

Paul Revere is the MAN!---he has been entertaining us with comic relief, and good old fashioned rock and roll for decades. He is 76 years young, and still rocking to the beat. His band members, lead guitarist, Doug Heath, and bass guitarist Ron Foos, both hail from Seattle, and have been with him over 40+ years, keyboardist and backup vocalist Danny Krause has been with him over 32 years, Jamie Revere his own son is playing guitar, all of his life, Darren Dowler - lead vocals and guitar, 6years, and Tommy Scheckel - drums, vocals, the "newest member" around 5 years. The chemistry between band members is amazing, the vocals are tight, the musical arrangements are tight, and the comedy relief between all of them, and the audience is astounding. The former members that made the hits are long gone (Lindsay left in January 1975 to pursue a solo career) but the craftmanship of those that play alongside the "MASTER" Paul Revere are totally amazing. Dowler is an accomplished actor, songwriter, singer, guitarist, and impersonator--he can impersonate Clinton, Tom Jones, and Elvis, and if you shut your eyes, you would believe those people are in the room with you. Every show gives a tribute and a welcome home to all Veterans, and especially Vietnam Veterans. The packed show at the Snoqualmine Casino was appreciative and standing ovations were plentiful.

Paul Revere is a national treasure!!!

    by EssEffEmm on 3/9/14Snoqualmie Casino-Ballroom - Snoqualmie

I've seen Paul Revere and the Raiders perform since the 70's and have never had a bad show. Paul knows how to pick musicians with top notch musical and comedy talent and then meld them into a tight, entertaining group. The fact that he has multiple players who have been in his band over 40 years speaks to the satisfaction they must have playing in this band. Paul Revere and the Raiders MUST be on everyone's bucket list!! Go see them, and you'll want to go again.

Paul Revere was top notch, and very funny and entertaining. Enjoyed every bit of this show, from the great showmanship to the hilarious comments, it took us back to a great time, and nice to see that this band did a great job of knowing exactly how to entertain. Excellent music and lots of surprises. Fantastic show. The band also took time to do autographs and seemed to really enjoy mixing with the audience for pictures. great guys.

Paul Revere and his Raiders STILL have it!

    by PeggySueAlso on 3/9/14Snoqualmie Casino-Ballroom - Snoqualmie

I have seen them many times, and the show is never stale! This time I took my 24 year old granddaughter and she loved it. Even though she didn't know who they were, said it was one of the best concerts she has gone to because of the comedy, energy and awesome band. The lead singer is amazing! I am surprised he isn't with a super big name group because he can sing anything! LOVE LOVE LOVE them and now, so does she!

Paul Revere & The Raiders were fabulous

by GirlieH on 2/20/14Global Event Center at WinStar World Casino and Resort - Thackerville

This had to be one of the best shows I've seen. So much more than just a concert, it mixed comedy and great music and took me back to the "good old days". Just great! The lead singer was excellent and even did several impressions. His Tom Jones impersonation got the ladies pretty revved up. Everyone in the band dances and all wear the cool revolutionary costumes like they used to wear. The drummer was especially great as well, a blur of energy. Mary Wilson was the opening act and she was beautiful and excellent. Hearing those Supremes songs again really took me back. All and all a fantastic show!! Highly recommend Paul Revere and The Raiders.

    Mary Wilson was supreme!

by Maidenman on 2/1/14Global Event Center at WinStar World Casino and Resort - Thackerville

Last Sunday afternoon my daughter and I made our way back to the Winstar Casino showroom for another one of their Sunday afternoon concerts. This time it was Mary Wilson of the Supremes opening for Paul Revere and the Raiders. I love old Motown music, and have seen Dianna Ross a couple of times so this was a nice chance to see another member of that trio. It’s also an opportunity to take my daughter to an early concert that is an ok show for kids to see. Mary Wilson opening the gig and at almost 70 still has a very strong voice. She was the reason we went. She ran through 10-12 of the Supremes hits but sadly only played about 30 minutes. She had 2 backup singers that had good voices but her back up band was the Raiders, and while they knew the tunes you could tell they were very basic arrangements. I wish she could have been the headliner and player 45-60 minutes because she had the better voice and much better material. Some of the hits she played: Baby Love, Back in my arms again, Stop in the name of love, Come see about me, Reflections, Can’t hurry Love, Someday well’s be together, I hear a symphony, Where did out love go. I know very little of Paul Revere and the Raiders. I know a couple of songs and that they do a lot of comedy. While I give the lead guy credit for being 76 and still playing gigs, this just wasn’t my thing. A couple of the songs were fine, but of their 45 minute set 20-25 minutes was talking. Silly comedy, jokes they seem to have telling for years. Kicks and Stepping Stone were a couple of songs I knew. Many of the guys had been in the bad since the 70’s and 80’s. The lead singer did a pretty good Tom Jones impression and that was the best part of the gig. Jokes about trying to play CDs on record players and such were funny to some I guess. For some reason he blew a whistle during the songs, and when he told a bad joke he would point a gun at the audience and say “sit down”. It was probably funny in the 60’s or to people in their 60’s. Both acts seem to be right where they belong, and that’s fine. Low coast casino gigs, they had just finished playing some “oldies” cruise, and honestly both should play Branson for a while. It a great show room that seats 4000, but only a few hundred were there. We moved into the VIP $30 seats. We really enjoyed Mary Wilson. For the 15 bucks a ticket we paid, I would enjoy seeing her again.

The concert was lots of fun and full of memories of great old songs. Their lead singer was quite good and did a great Tom Jones impression. Loved to hear the songs. They sounds just a good as they did years ago. Go see them when they are in your area.

    Great concert

by FlipFlopFreak on 1/29/14Global Event Center at WinStar World Casino and Resort - Thackerville

Mary Wilson opened the night with a very strong voice and a very good job of the hit songs she sang. She was very enjoyable. Paul Revere and the Raiders was very good. The program was both entertaining and funny. The band was strong and Darren's voice is awesome. While Paul's contributions are different now, he was very entertaining, funny, and very much worth seeing. Very good concert!!!

It was a good show but thought it was a little short. Sang the songs that were hits on the radio. Loved the interaction with audience. Like it when they take the time to visit and autograph.

LOVED Mary Wilson & Paul Revere & the Raiders!

by Abseesblue on 1/29/14Global Event Center at WinStar World Casino and Resort - Thackerville

Went with my sister. They were fantastic back in the 60's & they are still great today. I not only loved the music but also the humor. Laughing is good for the soul. We had great seats. The only thing I regretted is it was not long enough. We could have listened to them another good hour or so...lol Would love to see them again someday!

Paul and the Raiders were just great. Mary Wilson was right on target too. It is such a treat to heat GOOD music that is not offensive or out of place.

    Great show

by JohnnywalkerHeart on 1/29/14Global Event Center at WinStar World Casino and Resort - Thackerville

We really enjoyed the show . The raiders and Mary Wilson were very good. We and many others were Disappointed that the show was so short. Paul Revere kept saying that this was a short show. It wasn't advertised as a short show. With two separate lead acts , it didn't last as long as most single act shows last.
