Loved Gloria, staff was great, and Patti still has it!
Great show. Great setting. Totally enjoyable experience, as is custom at the Count Basie. Pattie Smith was energetic, fully engaged, and her voice was strong and powerful. The band was excellent. Thanks, Patti, and Thanks Basie.
I would give it six stars if I could! Best concert ever.
This theater is a wonderful venue. They’re not looking to rip you off, so that was a treat. As for Patti Smith and her band / wonderful. I was filled with joy watching her performance. Having her children on stage was extra sweet. She gives it her all at every performance- but she brought something extra to Nee Jersey.
Last time I saw Patti Smith I was 20! Now I’m 60! She was AMAZING! I nearly cried! She’s so inspirational! Her voice was fabulous. Loved that both her children are in the group as well as ordinal member Lenny Kaye! In closing…she was the best and brought back wonderful memories!
Patti Smith was everything and more at the concert, beauty and grace, in a beautiful setting.
An evening of punk and poetry by Smith and family. Smith's set list included her best known songs, Because the Night, Redondo Beach, and others, plus Dylan and Neil Young covers. Patty sat out the cover of I Want to Be Your Dog, which was one of the crowd's favorites.
The whole crowd was up and dancing! She put on a great performance. I love her so much!
Patti Smith and her Band were really great. The theater is terrific, great sound, well organized, comfy. Wish there were more shows that would be of interest to me.
The Basie is an excellent venue! Highly recommend! Patti is fantastic.
Patti Smith was truly amazing. Her voice is strong and rich. She enunciates so you can understand every word she sings. She has an amazing level of energy for any performer. That, in itself, is amazing. But, when you consider the fact that she's 75, it is truly extraordinary. I've seen quite a few concerts over the years. This one was clearly in the top five!
I've been to many shows at the Wiltern. I've seen Patti there a bunch of times. Great show. What I disliked were my seats. Its seemed that the promoter packed so many seats in the venue that I couldn't even sit back in my chair. (And, I'm a thin person.) And, these were not cheap seats. I felt like I had purchased a seat on Spirit Airlines. No arm rests. No room to even stand properly. I get that they want to make money on these shows but, why sacrifice the experience? Someone remarked that there could have even be a code violation because of this. Next time I'll stand in the pit. Really disappointed.
I loved every second with Patti what a gift and a honor to share space with her <3
Good sound and lighting. Ticket price reasonable. Cool inside even with the heat. The purse check took way too long and disorganized.
Wiltern seemed very disorganized and was so slow to let people in — show started very late because of the GIGANTIC line. Also, ushers showing people to their seats totally interrupted my experience a couple times. Difficult to see the row numbers without a flashlight. Time for a interior remodel!
Patti had a late start …an hour and half Otherwise great!
An amazing show, great performance of some of my all-time favorite songs as well as poetry! And original bandmember/guitarist/producer Lenny Kaye is always a huge plus!
Great show, great venue, she and her band are so amazing. Acoustics were great in the Wiltern. Little humid in the lobby but nice cool and comfortable in the main room. Played so many favorite songs. I would love to see her there every time.
Patti Smith is a wonderful, energetic performer. Her band is outstanding. The show was absolutely incredible!
