Legendary R&B belter Patti LaBelle came of age at a time when the term "diva" wasn't used loosely — as a tireless performer and industry veteran, Ms. LaBelle earned her diva designation with hard work and pure, raw talent. Beloved by fans for her fiery live performances and sassy wit, Patti proved she was still in top form on her 2012/13 50th Anniversary Tour, consistently bringing down the house with electrifying renditions of classics like "Lady Marmalade" and "New Attitude." An indefatigable touring presence, Patti serves up more diva realness in 2014 with several highly anticipated appearances.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Patti Labelle cut her teeth singing in church choir and several girl groups before settling into her role as frontwoman of namesake group LaBelle in 1970. Following minor success in the early part of the decade, LaBelle hit the big time in 1974 with "Lady Marmalade," which became their first No. 1 and remains one of the most popular songs of the disco era. In 1977, Patti released her self-titled solo debut album to positive reviews, wowing critics with her songwriting and prowess as a vocalist. A series of successful albums followed including 1986's Winner in You, which landed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and received several Grammy nominations.

I love Patti Labelle's music so I wished I would have heard more of it. Her background singers did more actual singing than she did. They were terrific. Also, the changing shoes bit was too much drama for me. I would have loved for her to simply sit in a chair & sing her beautiful songs all night long.
Patti is a true diva. Don't let my 4 star rating make you think the show was anything but great. I've seen Patti many times before and the first show I saw in the early '80s will probably alway be the stand out favorite for me. I would pay to see her again tomorrow.
Patti Labelle, as she said so herself that night, at 65 years young can still bring a crowd to their feet, stomping and yelling. She was terrific. What I didn't particularly like was her dress or costume. It was bulky and made her legs look like toothpicks. She is a great star and a remarkable lady, and that is Lady with a Capital "L".
Wearing a fuzzy beetle like costume didn't start the show well, and though she sweated through the entire show, she never changed into something more plausibly comfortable and less distracting! She changed her shoes about four or five times while admitting she was diabetic, menopausal and divorced.... Not encouraging the audience that she was happy to be here. The band and backup singers were great, allowing the audience to give slack to Patti. Those called up from the audience were great singers and dancers to add to the enjoyment of the show, too good to be actual random picks. Patti is still good, but fading.
Patti is my girl!! She is like the energizer bunny. She looked amazing and is an excellent entertainer. I would pay to see her perform anywhere, however I would rather see her play on the strip at Caesars Palace or some place similar . She is a lady that has paid her dues and deserves to play only in the best of the best.
My wife and I enjoyed the concert a lot. Patti is still kicking. The band was rocking too.
This was my first visiting the Primm Resort, but not my first itme seeing Patti. The show was fabulous. Her voice is so strong. My sisters were visiting from Illinois. Dinner and Patti were the conclusion of their week stay in Las Vegas.
The show was great, but were disappointed that Ms Patti didn't perform for longer.
Amazing show, Patti is a great entertainer. Hope I look as good as she does when I'm 65 years old. She has an amazing life story.
Patti show started on time which was good. I have seen Patti In Los Angeles and it was better than this. I paid $100.00 per seat for poor seating and Hard Rock has no class at all. Wirh age Patti show has now change and I will not be returning to see the same old thing. No new music selections and same old show!!! For my monies she was on stage for short period of time. It was not worth my money nor time.
I have been to see Patti Labelle several times. She always brings new surprises to the Concert. She always makes it more like a personal party than a concert. She is the Event.
For the Money show to short
Between the screaming and technical problems I was ready to go very early.
I paid over $100,00 for a ticket to see and hear Patti Labelle in concert.The concert was to short. I thought they were going on break and the usher told me that is the end of the concert. I am aware that Patti is not well physically and she is 65 years old.I am suggesting maybe a another Artist or Artists could have open the concert.We have a large number of local artists with great talent that could have done a super job. I along with other friends that attended the concert would have been happier in that we did not get what we paid for.
Patti's voice remains as unique as ever. Although the piano broke in the middle of the show, it didn't phase any of the performers including the pianist who was also the musical director. He was amazing...
She was absolutely amazing. The only part I did not care for was that she only performed for maybe 90 minutes....thats generous. I dont' know, maybe she was tired., That darn diabetes can wipe you out. I love Patti, she is amazing, lots of heart, phenominal voice . Oh...and a costume change would have been OK...but again, she might of just been tired. I LOVE YOU PATTI
EXCELLENT!! Patti looked fabulous with a voice to match.
Pattie Labelle performance was exceptional. However, it was not long enough. It would have been great if they could have had some more singing performed by her back up singers to lengthen the concert . People were just getting into and before you knew it lights were up and out we went. I was left breathless when it ended.
Excellent Concert! The Band and back-up singers were awesome.
