Sir Patrick Stewart was absolutely brilliant and I am so happy that I got an opportunity to see him in person. He was as I expected witty and charming and gorgeous. It was wonderful to hear about his journey from childhood to now and how it wasn’t easy but he traversed. I was so sad when it was over. I could have listened to him all night. Thank you also to UCSD for giving out the remaining books. I can’t wait to read every page!
I have been a huge fan of Sir Patrick for over 30 years. This happened only because of Star Trek, but because of that magnificent one man show of Christmas Carol he did, that came through San Diego. It honestly changed my relationship to teaching! My only complaint was that it was too short; I could have sat there and listened for a couple more hours, at least! Thanks, Sir Patrick, for the many wonderful performances you have given the world!
Sir Patrick was funny, personable and entertaining. Though show was only an hour, wish it were 2.

This was a very entertaining event, I just wish it had lasted longer. I look forward to reading his autobiography, and appreciate receiving a copy at the show.
It was great to see Patrick Stewart in person, especially with my son who is also a huge Star Trek fan. However, some frustrating things: - the venue was very frustrating. They allowed guests to enter the room after the show started which resulted in multiple people being ushered to their seats for probably half the show time and constantly disturbing the view and our ability to hear. The venue should now allow this and should give a heads up to attendees so they can plan accordingly and leave very early to show up on time - the ushers then proceeded to constantly go up and down the aisle asking people to not use their phones. Again, they should have announced this at the very beginning of the show so people would be courteous. This was very distracting and kept blocking our view. - the show was very short. 1 hour for $80 per person was a disappointing and I felt the interviewer missed the mark by not focusing more on Star Trek! This is what he’s famous for! And they probably spent maybe 10 minutes or less on that topic. If there was more time, he could’ve spent more time on this topic. Overall for these reasons I’m not sure if it was worth it to go. I think the Civic Theater does a way better job of handing logistics of events
