About

Palaye Royale in Concert

Throughout history, the greatest rock 'n' roll bands have exuded confidence in their sound and vision. The Los Angeles-based power trio Palaye Royale is no exception: The group of real-life brothers — vocalist Remington Leith, guitarist Sebastian Danzig, and drummer Emerson Barrett — take striking musical and fashion cues from '60s and '70s icons (including and especially The Rolling Stones), but are forging a distinct musical path forward.

Although they've toured with modern metal and hard rock bands (including Pop Evil), Palaye Royale are most comfortable nodding to the past. Their 2016 debut, 'Boom Boom Room (Side A),' brims with groove-heavy, retro rock 'n' roll, as does that album's 2018 companion, 'Boom Boom Room (Side B),' which is full of stomping glam, smoldering blues, and razor-edged rock.

This brash music is a far cry from the band's origins. As kids, the brothers played together in a pop act called Kropp Circle that received some attention from media such as Radio Disney. However, the siblings soon decided that classic rock 'n' roll was more their speed, and they relocated to L.A. The move paid off as they nabbed a record deal with Sumerian Records, and the chance to develop a career on their own terms.

Fiercely DIY, the group has amassed a devoted fan base (known as the "Soldiers of the Royal Council") through nurturing creative endeavors. The band produces a newspaper called 'The Royal Times' and has launched its own makeup and jewelry lines, while Barrett himself sells original fine art both online and at the merch table. In concert, the members of Palaye Royale also foster deep connections with fans, no doubt because of their previous years of live experience. They crank up the volume and swagger, giving their songs even more verve and energy, while Danzig is a livewire frontman who's been known to hang off venue lighting rigs for dramatic effect.

Over the course of their career, Palaye Royale have brought countless venues to capacity, like Saint Andrews Hall in Detroit, the Theatre of Living Arts in Philadelphia and the Buckhead Theatre in Atlanta.

Saw them with yungblud and poutyface heard a few of their songs, but they blew it out of the water! Enjoyed them so much and my husband who I had to drag to the concert actually was dancing to their music when they were on stage so that says something.

  • Worth it!

I live in Louisiana and I drove to Houston texas to see them and it was the best night of my life! Their Music has made me happy in every way possible. And as soon as Emerson came on stage I cried bc I never thought the people who have created music that helped me through it all would be right in front of me. I recommend!

Ive been listening to PR for awhile and when i sae they were opening for YungBlud (who ive also been listening to for years) I knew i had to get tickets for chicago—one of my favorite bands but seeing them live is the best experiences ive ever had and i reccomend it even if youve never listened to them.

  • Best opener ever!

by Syd on 1/30/22Rating: 5 out of 5

Palaye Royale was one of the openers for YUNGBLUD at the Ryman. I wasn't expecting much, and I hadn't heard of them before, but damn they killed it. One of the best live performance groups I've ever seen. They had the whole auditorium on their feet. Their music was great of course, but they also were great at interacting with the crowd. I'm definitely planning to see them again.

  • OUTSTANDING

    by K. L. on 10/5/21Rating: 5 out of 5

I saw them for the first time back in 2018 and I’ve been going to shows every since. It’s totally worth the money. I love this band so much. The fan base (The Royal council) is also such a amazing community and fan base/ family to be apart of.

  • ABSOLUTELY PERFECT

by KMJ on 12/22/19Delmar Hall - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

We had general admission tickets with a VIP upgrade. The venue was so neat and clean, and the event was well organized. The band was absolutely perfect. They were polite and gentlemanly, and their show was astounding. They were engaging, personal, interactive, and intense. I've been to hundreds of concerts, and Palaye Royale definitely tops my experience list. Definitely going again next time!

  • Amazing!!

by Court on 12/20/19Delmar Hall - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Mobile entry to the show made it really easy and the flow of the lines were much faster than people who had actual tickets. Amazing show by both the opening band and the main band we went to see. What a way to end the decade!

  • Perfect!!!

by CB on 12/20/19Delmar Hall - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

This was a perfect show for my daughter! The small venue allowed her to get front row! She stayed after the show and was able to meet the band. None of that would have been possible with a large venue. She's been on cloud nine since the show!

  • Mother/Daughter Time

First time at Delmar Hall. It was clean, open and comfortable. Nice bar and restrooms close and clean. PALAYE ROYALE were absolutely entertaining and one of the best shows I have ever seen live. They were fantastic at performing live and engaging the crowd. A MUST SEE next time they come!

  • Pure energy and entertainment

by JesseWrae on 7/6/19Baltimore Soundstage - BaltimoreRating: 5 out of 5

All the acts had a great deal of energy going into the evening. Starbenders as the opener set a great pace with a more rock/metal vibe. Got the crowd pumped as they were entering the venue or waiting in the merch lines. Weathers had a great set, lots of energy, performing to a rockabilly/FOB vibe. Palaye Royal raised the roof, and has set a high bar for on stage musicians. It was great to see PR again live. Seen them as the opening act to the mid card and now as the headliners. All these performers seemed to gain more energy throughout the night as the audience sang along with more and more of their songs. One of the best things that we enjoyed about the show, is that all the performers complimented the others sound very well. I don't usually leave a with everyone's CD in my bag. It's really awesome to see the musicians and assistants walking around the venue outside prior to and after a show, interacting with the crowd. The venue is in a great location between 2 parking garages in Downtown Baltimore, offers many food choices (including vegetarian now!!) and ice cold drinks.

  • Lots of crowd involvement

by RacHRED on 11/7/18The Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

It was a great concert. The opening acts had some real talent, but Plalye Royale was the best. Remington got into the crowd, and was climbing on the upper levels. It was definitely awesome and 10/10 would go again!
