About

Palaye Royale in Concert

Throughout history, the greatest rock 'n' roll bands have exuded confidence in their sound and vision. The Los Angeles-based power trio Palaye Royale is no exception: The group of real-life brothers — vocalist Remington Leith, guitarist Sebastian Danzig, and drummer Emerson Barrett — take striking musical and fashion cues from '60s and '70s icons (including and especially The Rolling Stones), but are forging a distinct musical path forward.

Although they've toured with modern metal and hard rock bands (including Pop Evil), Palaye Royale are most comfortable nodding to the past. Their 2016 debut, 'Boom Boom Room (Side A),' brims with groove-heavy, retro rock 'n' roll, as does that album's 2018 companion, 'Boom Boom Room (Side B),' which is full of stomping glam, smoldering blues, and razor-edged rock.

This brash music is a far cry from the band's origins. As kids, the brothers played together in a pop act called Kropp Circle that received some attention from media such as Radio Disney. However, the siblings soon decided that classic rock 'n' roll was more their speed, and they relocated to L.A. The move paid off as they nabbed a record deal with Sumerian Records, and the chance to develop a career on their own terms.

Fiercely DIY, the group has amassed a devoted fan base (known as the "Soldiers of the Royal Council") through nurturing creative endeavors. The band produces a newspaper called 'The Royal Times' and has launched its own makeup and jewelry lines, while Barrett himself sells original fine art both online and at the merch table. In concert, the members of Palaye Royale also foster deep connections with fans, no doubt because of their previous years of live experience. They crank up the volume and swagger, giving their songs even more verve and energy, while Danzig is a livewire frontman who's been known to hang off venue lighting rigs for dramatic effect.

Over the course of their career, Palaye Royale have brought countless venues to capacity, like Saint Andrews Hall in Detroit, the Theatre of Living Arts in Philadelphia and the Buckhead Theatre in Atlanta.

  • Great concert... sound fail

by Cryo on 10/7/22House of Blues Chicago - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

Was an outstanding concert. Unfortunately it was overshadowed by bad accoustics.... was louder than clear and that doesnt make for a great experience. Took a few to realize what song it was as we went. Palaye was putstanding though and would put them in my top 5 concerts ever. The venue was nice though and even had good food.

Palaye Royal smokes the stage with an energy and sexy vibe that instantly draws you in. Music is great. House of Blues has awful acoustics (The Aragon is better--I've seen them in both places) but beside that, these guys are worth checking out!

  • Palaye Royale could do no wrong

    by Glyn on 10/5/22Saint Andrew's Hall - DetroitRating: 4 out of 5

The bands and performances were awesome! A lot of audience interaction and a whole lot of energy lol. The only thing keeping my rating slightly lower had nothing to do with the music/show. I payed extra for a VIP package which included early entry, so I was able to be in the 2nd row. But about halfway through the openers, a (slightly drunk) person pushed their way through up to the front, even though there wasn't really room for them there (they also indicated that they didn't even know the band). When my dad told them to stop pushing me, they called security who didn't really listen to the situation at all. But again, this had nothing to do with the bands; I love them dearly. More of a Live Nation problem.

  • A Night to Remember!

    by SavvyKitty on 10/5/22Saint Andrew's Hall - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

This show was an absolutely amazing experience! Palaye Royale put their all into it, even though Remington was losing his voice, and he still sounded great!! The night was full of surprises and spectacular energy! Would 100% see them again. Saint Andrew’s Hall was a great venue of choice for their show as well. The staff were friendly and organized, making the entry and check in a smooth process. I purchased the VIP Sound Check for this show, and it proved to be a beautiful, up-close experience with the band. Palaye Royale is extremely creative and in touch with their fans, making the performance and experience much more personal. The merch booth for them is the most expansive, one of a kind selections I have ever seen. There were so many options to choose from that were far different than the typical merch you see, since Emerson creates a majority of the products sold. Sebastian also made a surprise visit to the merch line and took a photo with each one of us! I don’t have enough words to describe what an amazing experience this was! Thank you Palaye Royale, Saint Andrew’s Hall, and all of the staff involved for a night to remember! A must see for sure! 🤩

I missed these guys when they came through a couple years ago. They put on an awesome show. The energy and stage presence was amazing and they also chose good opening bands that made the whole show awesome. Can’t wait to see them again.

  • Awesome show

    by DebJ66Mi on 10/4/22Saint Andrew's Hall - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

As always Palaye rocked the house! They are a must see live! The staff at the venue were awesome! It had many years since I was there. The only bad part was how rude and disrespectful some of the crowd were! (teenagers) I would be embarrassed if they were my children! Other than that the opening bands were great! Will be checking out more of their music! All in all a fun night!

  • St Andrew’s Hall, Michigan

    by S. R. on 10/2/22Rating: 5 out of 5

The whole band was amazing! Remington invited both his brothers to speak on multiple occasions, and did plenty of crowd interaction! He ran down the bar, and sang only a few feet away from me. The interaction alone made this show worth the money; they made it a night I will never forget.
