As alway, Oscar and his orchestra alway put on an amazing show. It takes me back to the days when he would come into town and perform at the clubs in NYC. Hasn’t lost a step. Que Viva la Salsa.
Oscar De León offered an excellent and espectacular performance , really it’s a máster on stage , his Voice, energy and charisma together Was an amazing and terrific experience !! Gracias Maestro Soplaaaaaaa……. sabroso !!
I cannot begin to say exceptionally good things about this concert. This man is 82 years old and going as strong as E V E R!!! he did not stop! There were no ballads or "softies"just his good old salsa which makes the oldest to the youngest generations enjoy dancing salsa at it's best. From the get go he kept on for 2 hours straight without resting even a bit! We sat at the 7th row in front of the stage so it was a great view, overall the place was full. We couldn't dance much in the hallways but everyone did what they could and the atmosphere was phenomenal. Very well behaved crowd for sure. This is one concert that I will for sure repeat until he no longer does them. This is the last of the "SONEROS"as we know them. Think about this. If you don't like salsa; this is definitely not for you. However; if you DO like salsa and you don't dance; you will enjoy it tremendously as well. Parking was $20for the entire night which I thought was reasonable given its in the heart of Downtown. I would recommend arriving like 2-3 hours before entry begins and have a drink at the Hyatt two you don't have to make huge parking lines or depend on Valet which will be a lot more expensive.
It was a real salsa party. Oscar D Leon the best salsa singer ever.
I've never been to a salsa concert. Oscar D'Leon was fantastic. The guy is in his 80s and moves like he's 30 years younger. Great sound Mix as well. I'm very pleased that I went to see him
Oscar de León performance was great as always!!! The venue is too dated. No creen to see the show.
This man and true ICON did not disappoint. For over two hours he sang all his classics hits. Furthermore, he brought some of his friends along and Tito Nieves being an icon as well did not disappoint. Very lucky and appreciative to have been able to witness greatness. God Bless these true artist and humans.
Oscar D' Leon's performance is fantastic. Although I got floor seats to be comfy, the chairs were too close together for me to really enjoy the concert. My neighbor's leg was resting on top of mine, and she seemed to require a bit more room. We were too close together, and I felt like I was shoved aside even when we were standing. The concert got underway late. I think I overpaid for the concert and didn't enjoy it. If not, I would rate it five stars.
Overall the show was entertaining and special guest singers were a nice surprise. However, many were disappointed he didn't sing some massive hits like Que Bueno Baila Usted, Sigue Tu Camino, Ven Morena, Mi Bajo y Yo, and others, so repertoire/set list could've been much better. He also played covers of songs popularized by other artists like Rebelion, Ran Kan Kan, and others which although were enjoyable left myself and others confused as these were songs not associated with this talented singer still sounding great at 82! God bless! Hope they'll adjust their repertoire for future shows. I'm sure audience will react much better than some of these other tunes he played. Crowd energy was a little flat as a result.
