We went to see the Solar Bears on 12/28 as part of a family Christmas Eve Gift. For the price and the experience you can’t go wrong. Watching a semi-professional sports team, without having to drive too far especially, is a great option for the family, friends night out or a date night.
Entire family had an Awesome time Great fan Experience. Solar Bears won. We will come again.
Parking was easy. The game was exciting as all hockey games are. I would definitely go again if we had the opportunity.
Seats/tickets were well worth the price. People who run the event are very interactive with the crowd during downtimes.
Easy in and out of venue using VIP parking. The game was very enjoyable. Good hockey, music and entertainment between the action.

The solar bears put on a great show, despite their current record. The only issue I had was with the venue itself. The lower half of our section was part of the expandable seating that can be adjusted based on whatever is at the arena that day. The row in front of us was damaged and as a result, the gap between my legs and the back of the person in front of me was about an inch. In addition, over half the cup holders in the area were just flat out broken and useless. Great game, seats need some TLC.
Fun, family friendly, enjoyable Hockey is a lot of fun and everyone can pretty much get the idea of hitting the puck into the net. You don’t have to know lots of rules. The game moves fast and is always exciting. If the game starts to slow down it’s always worth watching the audience because a hockey audience is always a very interesting group. Broken down into 320 minute periods with 18 minute intermissions you will be in and out of there in about two hours or 2.5 hours if it’s crowded. Not a huge investment of your time. What I like about hockey is the crowd is always very main stream committed fans. Most hockey fans do not go to one or two games but are totally devoted to the team. I also feel very safe. I think I can leave my wallet on my chair and it would be there when I came back. It’s just that kind of crowd. There will be a lot of beer drinking. Be ready for that. I mean a whole lot.

Just plain old good hockey. Such a fun time, I already bought tickets to the next game and I can't wait!
The game and seats were awesome! The only reason it’s not a 5 star rating is because the concessions were horrible. My husband got a “Solar Bear Burger” and shoe leather had more flavor. This is the third event we’ve been to at Amway and we won’t make the the mistake of trying to eat there again. There were no options and the food is always horrible. We will definitely be back to see the Solar Bears, we will make sure to eat before we get there though.
When I was a kid my friend's family would always take us to solar bears games and it was one of my favorite memories! Now that I'm married with kids we will continue this tradition! RIP Mr and Mrs. Ahern and thank you for including me!
No issues whatsoever. Besides our team losing it was Great Day at the arena.
Being on vacation and coming from a hockey family, we wanted to do something different than the usual theme parks. Seeing the Bears were playing the Icemen, and not going to a hockey game for years we bought tickets and parking. Both were exceptionally cheap! The arena was spotless, the fans were active and the ushers were helpful. It was a great night and would recommend people on vacation or locals to go and see a game.
I was excited to attend a big city hockey game, but it was actually more lackluster than my local team. The parking situation was very confusing, with the parking areas mostly being blocked off & Maps not knowing how to direct us to them. We had a blast at the game. the only issue is that I injured my knee during the game due to the seat breaking while I was sitting in it. My knee buckled a little and it was difficult to walk up the staircase that was a pretty far trip due to having seats by the glass on the ice. I have attempted to reach out to the arena to no avail. These were not the cheap seats for this game and I am upset that I paid for a broken seat and most of all injured my knee.

It was a fun filled family night out! Lots of crowd interactions , good food and of course great hockey game! Will definitely go again
The Amway is a great venue for hockey, basketball, arena football and concerts. The biggest hangup is traffic for hockey and arena football because they don't get the same attention as basketball or concerts. It would be nice to see the same road closures and traffic control as is done for the bigger events. Once we finally made parked it was smooth sailing to get in, find food (Gringos Tacos is awesome) and make our way to our seats. As for the game, the Bears fought valiantly but lost in OT. Traffic leaving was just as bad as getting in. We sat in the garage for nearly an hour and by the time we hit the streets I only saw 2 police vehicles but no officers.
