Only wish folks would keep in mind that these guys have only been skating together for a litle while and so may not be spot on all the time, but fans should be supportive and not as negative as the lady sitting behind us. I doubt,even though she "has a PhD" that she could do a better job!!Sure, everyone is disappointed if a shot goes wide, etc, but to berate the players the entire game is just not acceptable.

Also the home team, that we were supporting obviously won. A really great night and the amway stadium is fantastic. I wish we had these kind of events here in scotland!!!

Goalie cost Bears the Game
by PJB707 on 10/30/12 Amway Center - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5While I'm a stone cold Ice Hockey fan I can be very critical of the play. sitting in section 109 13 rows you get a pretty good vantage point of what happens in goal. during the shootout the huge mistake made by Brodeur was moving out so far from the net that after the first Greenville player score a goal all he needed to do was go back and let his team mates know where the weak spot was. It didn't happen just once it happened three times. You'd think you'd learn. Hopefully he learns from his mistake.

New stadium, good hockey what else? Only problem is that people waste a lot under a seats ( popcorn, cans and so on).
Solar Bears=great family event!

Was elated when the announcement was made that Orlando was getting an ECHL team (back). This team finally brought us out to the new beautiful Amway arena (we aren't basketball fans). Not a bad seat in the arena. Minor league teams are great for families as the prices are reasonable too. We will be attending MANY games.

With the NHL locked out, it fills my desire for hockey in the fall/winter, and quite well! Also nice not to have to drive to Tampa to watch a game.

We can *definitely* get behind this team! The team management did things right, and they put a team on the ice that can really play. They beat won in a very dramatic shootout in their first home game in 11 years. If you're thinking about buying tickets, the Solar Bears definitely met and exceeded my expectations. I hope they keep it up.
