Orlando Magic History
Joining the NBA in the 1989 expansion era, the Magic struggled for three years until picking center Shaquille O'Neal first in the 1992 draft. The Magic finished at .500 in the 1992–93 season, barely missing the playoffs. Then, with only a slim chance in the 1993 draft lottery, the team won the rights to pick No. 1 again. They used their selection, Chris Webber, in a trade to obtain guard Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway and future picks.
O’Neal and Hardaway led the Magic to 50 wins in the 1993–94 season and then 57 victories, as well as a trip to the NBA Finals, the following year. In the 1995–96 campaign, the Magic won a franchise-record 60 games in what would be O'Neal's last season in Orlando. They made it to the Eastern Conference finals against the Chicago Bulls.
Over the next 10 years, the Magic made the playoffs five times under the leadership of coach Doc Rivers and Hall of Fame guard Tracy McGrady, who earned two scoring titles and the 2001 Most Improved Player award during his tenure. The 2006–07 season saw Orlando start a run of six consecutive postseason appearances, as star center Dwight Howard blossomed and the Magic surrounded him with young talent and savvy veterans.
The Magic reached the second round of the playoffs in 2008 behind Howard and forwards Hidayet "Hedo" Türkoğlu and Rashard Lewis. The following season, with trade acquisition Rafer Alston filling in for injured point guard Jameer Nelson and sharpshooter J.J. Redick taking on a more prominent role, the team won 59 games and defeated the Philadelphia 76ers, the Boston Celtics and the LeBron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers in the playoffs. It earned the Magic a second trip to the NBA Finals, where they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Following Howard’s trade to the Lakers in 2012, the Magic began a decade-long rebuilding process while developing notable talents like Victor Oladipo, Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vučević. The Magic’s luck seemed to improve after reaching playoff contention once again in 2019 and 2020, and landing top draft picks such as Mo Bamba, Jalen Suggs, Franz Wagner, and 2023 Rookie of the Year Paolo Banchero.

We had a great time, went to 6 playoff games!! I wish that the Orlando fans were always that good!!
I'm a huge Magic fan & my boyfriend is a huge Celtics fan, so this was a big game for us! It was alot of fun! The players all played very well as a team and put on a great game! GO MAGIC!
Very exciting. Not a bad seat in the house! Close game with an exciting finish.
The Orlando Magic vs Cleveland Cavaliers game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals was unforgettable. Ticketmaster provided me and my family an opportunity to obtain our tickets quickly and easily so that there were no concerns prior to the game. Once at the game we had a great time watching the Magic advance to the NBA finals. It was a very enjoyable evening all made possible by the ease and convenience of using ticketmaster.
Although we couldn't bring home the championship this year, the team was exciting. Cheers to a great season!
Watching the Magic beat upon the Cavs was unbelievable.
Awesome...did not realize row "T" was stood for TOP ROW!
Absolutely amazing game in a great venue. I will miss the old Amway Arena, but look forward to seeing the Magic in their new home with Vince Carter. The Magic took it to Lebron and company during Game 5. Great atmosphere and energy! The seats were fantastic and the ease with which I was able to get them through Ticketmaster was great. I got to finally see an NBA playoff game and boy did I get to see a doozy! Thanks Ticketmaster and thanks Orlando Magic for such a great season. Your loyal fan, MattDaCat7
After paying post season prices for seats which we thought were above average, we had to keep leaning to see around the vendors going up and down the aisle. Even worse when they stay in one spot for five minutes. I couldn't believe some of the "fans?" either - could they at least wait until the ball was at the other end of the court, or a time-out before moving about? If the new arena doesn't have vendor tunnels to stay out of sight, I will think twice about sitting anywhere but the middle where the view is less likely to be blocked
It doesn't get any better than this-until next year when the Magic WIN! LET'S GO MAGIC!
The experience alone was MAGICal! The moment I stepped onto the Amway Arena property I knew that this was going to be something special. I couldn't resist taking a lot of pictures with my dad and joining in on some of the pre-game festivities outside. The unity of Orlando Magic fans was amazing and left a sense of something MAGICal for the overall experience. Inside, the chants and memorabilia plastered everywhere gave me goose bumps! I know my love of sports is true when I get the most pleasure by being around other sports fans. It really isn't about the W-L record but instead the experience you feel and gain when you're truly passionate about the event taking place. It was simply *MAGICal*!!!
I attended a game at each level of the play-offs and had a great time at each one. (they won them all)
The Magic were on their game and so was the crowd. Outstanding game.
I enjoy baskeball a lot and decided to go see the Magic play the Celtics at Amway Arena. I am a Wizards fan, but I was in the Orlando area on a business trip. I found the arena to be not up todays or Orlando's standards. The parking was horrible. The game was very slow and not as enjoyable as I would have expected it to be. The fans had no respect for others sitting behind them and you had to stand almost the entire "boring" game. I know I would not go to another game at the Amway Arena. I left the game early to walk more than a mile to get to my car and away from the traffic I knew to be forthcoming. I actually thought Orlando had lost the game, but to my surprise at arriving back at my hotel finding that they had won. With the new stadium being built, I hope the parking is better. Walking in the rain was not something I enjoy.
This game was action packed. Orlando facing the pressure of elimination played with a high level of confidence and talent. My seats were located right behind the basket and were some of the best tickets I have ever purchased to any event hands down. The service was great and the game was even better. I love the Magic!!!
