Orlando Magic History
Joining the NBA in the 1989 expansion era, the Magic struggled for three years until picking center Shaquille O'Neal first in the 1992 draft. The Magic finished at .500 in the 1992–93 season, barely missing the playoffs. Then, with only a slim chance in the 1993 draft lottery, the team won the rights to pick No. 1 again. They used their selection, Chris Webber, in a trade to obtain guard Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway and future picks.
O’Neal and Hardaway led the Magic to 50 wins in the 1993–94 season and then 57 victories, as well as a trip to the NBA Finals, the following year. In the 1995–96 campaign, the Magic won a franchise-record 60 games in what would be O'Neal's last season in Orlando. They made it to the Eastern Conference finals against the Chicago Bulls.
Over the next 10 years, the Magic made the playoffs five times under the leadership of coach Doc Rivers and Hall of Fame guard Tracy McGrady, who earned two scoring titles and the 2001 Most Improved Player award during his tenure. The 2006–07 season saw Orlando start a run of six consecutive postseason appearances, as star center Dwight Howard blossomed and the Magic surrounded him with young talent and savvy veterans.
The Magic reached the second round of the playoffs in 2008 behind Howard and forwards Hidayet "Hedo" Türkoğlu and Rashard Lewis. The following season, with trade acquisition Rafer Alston filling in for injured point guard Jameer Nelson and sharpshooter J.J. Redick taking on a more prominent role, the team won 59 games and defeated the Philadelphia 76ers, the Boston Celtics and the LeBron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers in the playoffs. It earned the Magic a second trip to the NBA Finals, where they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Following Howard’s trade to the Lakers in 2012, the Magic began a decade-long rebuilding process while developing notable talents like Victor Oladipo, Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vučević. The Magic’s luck seemed to improve after reaching playoff contention once again in 2019 and 2020, and landing top draft picks such as Mo Bamba, Jalen Suggs, Franz Wagner, and 2023 Rookie of the Year Paolo Banchero.

Was a great arena and the fans were nice. Great experience ty Ticketmaster
We enjoyed every aspect of our visit sitting in the Club section. It was unfathomable that for the Buffet to be costing $87.00 per person. Totally unreasonable. The cost needs to be adjusted...highway robbery.
We had a great experience from start to finish. Booked parking through ticket master at geico parking lot. (This is a must) very organized. The game was awesome and all the entertainment was great. No issues finding everything we needed. I would recommend an Orlando Magic game to anyone visiting Florida.
LBJ packs the house. Good game. Great game experience.
It was a great experience on my first time at Kia Arena.
It's a great experience and a great location for games. However, there's one small rule that is really bothersome: the size of bags that you can take to the game. It's a really really small size and it's clear that the idea is only to rent the lockers, not the concern about people's safety.
The organisation for the parking in and out of the event was very good especially when we had never been to this part of Orlando before the event shows the UK how to do it. The event itself was brilliant, we didn't we didn't realise the actual event around the basketball and that in itself was a great experience. The only thing I will say is that the food was ok and the drinks were nice but both were extremely expensive. For 4 burgers and chips with 4 cokes was $95 including tax which is baffling when its basically take out food but hey ho the experience made up for it. Also bought a NBA jersey and the staff in the shop were extremely helpful.
As a new basketball viewer, I found the game entertaining, and the stadium had an incredible atmosphere.
It was a GREAT game right down to the last second. I wish that the outcome would have been different but still a great game. We came from Pennsylvania for the game and my son and I both had a good time.
The most comfortable arena seats I've ever sat in. Not a bad seat in the house. My experience watching the Orlando Magic game was very enjoyable. I sat in section 111 row B for context.
Unlucky to have missed it, but the tour was one of the best in Orlando
We were fortunate to watch a very entertaining game, with lead changes, slam dunks, and a near record performance by Steph Curry. The arena is well accommodating, with concessions aplenty and even seating in front of TVs. A bonus was the ability to walk a short distance along Church Street from our Hotel to the arena. The negatives: Concession prices were gouging, and the variety of food limited. But by far the worst element, making this a one in five year event for us is the infrastructure leading from my location in Clearwater to the arena. I-4 is quite simply an abomination and an embarrassment to the great state of Florida. If this is the best we've got we got nothing.
While on holiday in Orlando I see an advertisement to attended an Orlando magic game. I jump right on this as I had never been to a basketball game before and it was such a great evening out. I would highly recommend if you are in the area and want to experience a basketball game my son who is 7 also massively enjoyed himself.
Nice arena. Getting to the Geiko Garage was very difficult if you have never been. Magic fans are nice, but they need to get more excited. Go to a Memphis home game and take notes. The Grindhouse knows how to get it!
It was my son's dream from 18 years (he is a basketball players too): we came from italy and gave the tockets to him as present for his 18th birthay and it was absolutely a dream! Organization was grate, experience very exiting and finally our team won the match!!!
Awesome experience. Orlando Magic is a big family!!!
The game was great. I was disappointed in the food options. For such a high cost the food was poor quality.
Really nice experience. My family and I just loved !
Went to a NBA (Magic vs Pistons) and had a great experience. Found amazing 3rd row tickets for a great price and enjoyed the game. All info l needed to make it to the venue was useful and precise. Amazing experience overall.
Great experience! Parking was a bit challenging even that i did have the Geico parking país, the driving around was heavy
