About

Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD) are an English electronic music band formed in Wirral, Merseyside in 1978. Founding members Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys pioneered a distinctive synth-pop sound, scoring major hits like "Enola Gay" and "Maid of Orleans." Rounded out by members Martin Cooper (keyboards, saxophone) and Stuart Kershaw (drums), OMD released several acclaimed albums in the 1980s, and have continued to record and perform over the decades.

  • 80s Music Rules!

by 80s Diva on 9/11/25Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Loved OMD! Saw them at Cruel World in May and was so looking forward to seeing the full concert at the Greek. Did. Not. Disappoint! Their music takes me back to carefree days and that youthful feeling of yesteryear!

One of my favorite concerts and I go to shows every week. Fantastic energy and music. This band still has it!! So glad they are back on tour. Worth the wait after they had to cancel last year. The opening act, Walt Disco, was great as well. The lead singer’s voice reminded me of David Bowie. A great choice to start the show.

  • Weird Seats

by Bil on 7/10/25Citizens House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 1 out of 5

So, I have specific requirements when I buy tickets. I'm too old to stand, My wife doesn't like front row balcony, especially if high above the floor seats below, and I'd rather not waste my time or money seeing a show if I can't "SEE"the show. With that in mind I picked out two row B seats almost dead center, even though they could have been row A because there's no real drop, its just a walk way in front of you. I digress. I selected the seats, paid for them, and never thought about it again until we got to the show. Somehow the two seats I selected were not the two seats I got (first time that has happened in 45 shows since 2023). where we ended up instead was on a side balcony, second row, but A. the balcony was just a flat floor and B. standing room only people pretty much roam wherever they want and between the folks in front of us and the wandering standers we couldn't see a fricken thing. (did I mention we're too old to stand?) OMD sounded fine, but we weren't enjoying the show... heck.. we couldn't see the show, I may as well have been listening on my Spotify or yahoo music. So we sat it out thru 8 songs then got up and left. I saw OMD open for Depeche Mode in the 1980's at what was then called Great Woods in Mansfield Mass., now referred to as the Infinity Center. Can I say it was a great show then.. no... I'm old.. I don't recall the details of what I did in the 1980's. Anyway.. lesson learned. Double check the seats I thought I bought were the seats I actually got.

  • OMD rocked it!

by BlackRose on 7/8/25History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

OMD were awesome! What a great concert - the vocals, the music, the sound, the visuals - everything was great. We (the audience) had so much fun and so did OMD. I will definitely go to their concert when they come back.

  • OMD-OMG

by Joey Apples on 7/7/25History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Venue was perfect, opening act Walt Disco were a very pleasant surprise, they were great. Then the big boys came out and it was magnificent, they took me back to the 80s and it was heaven. I met so many people there for the first time and we just had a great time. Please please more 80s new wave bands…a night I won’t forget. I am 72 yrs old and I felt like young(er).
