Omar Apollo is one of music's most exciting shape-shifters. In just a few years time, the Indiana-raised Mexican-American singer-songwriter went from teenage strummer to one of the most hotly-tipped rising stars of his generation. Apollo has had a transformative but linear journey, from listening to Brandy and Stevie Wonder as a kid, to plucking away at a guitar at as a pre-teen, to self-releasing a pair of EPs as a young man--2018's Stereo and 2019's Friends--that established his signature "bedroom soul" and earned him love from fans and press (Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, The FADER, et al.). As unique as his sound is, Apollo has garnered as much attention for his lyrics--themes of romantic yearning and self-improvement swirled up with expressions of cultural heritage and identity. In 2020, he released his home-recorded project Apolonio which featured collaborations with Bootsy Collins, DJ Dahi, Albert Hammond, Jr., and more. To celebrate Apolonio's release, Apollo performed a livestream concert from Paisley Park, the legendary residence of one of his heroes, Prince. 2021 saw the release of two singles, "Go Away," which Apollo performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and "Bad Life" featuring Kali Uchis. Apollo closed out the year on a high note receiving his first Latin GRAMMY nomination for his collaboration "Te Olvidaste" with C Tangana. Apollo's long-awaited debut album IVORY arrived in the Spring of 2022 and catapulted him to another level in his career while earning him critical acclaim from the likes of the New York Times who celebrated his "knack for jagged, irreverent pop songs" and Rolling Stone who declared him "one of the most exciting artists of his generation." Album singles such as "Invincible" featuring Daniel Caesar, "Killing Me", "Go Away", and "Tamagotchi (Prod. by Pharrell and Chad Hugo)" cross genre lines as well as language barriers as the full-length showcases even greater musical diversity from the already boundless creator. He went on to perform those and more at a breakout Coachella set in April of 2022 and again across his sold out Desvelado tour. Despite all that he has accomplished, Omar feels like he's just getting started. The artist who once called himself "just a kid from Indiana" is breaking new ground, abandoning all comfort zones, and never looking back.
Omar Apollo’s live performance is absolutely amazing! He always puts on a great show and his voice and dance moves are like no other. If you get a chance to see him live go see him!!
i thought i had ascended to heaven when omar started singing. he has the voice of an angel and an amazing energy. also super funny. i experienced all the emotions and had the time of my life. highly recommend!

Omar Apollo put on an amazing show, don’t get me wrong. But what really ruined the experience for me was the crowd, they were so bad and pushing and shoving the whole time. It got to the point where I left the show early and didn’t get to enjoy the entirety of it. It’s a good thing I’m gonna see him at acl this weekend but I feel as though I wasted $70. 10/10 Omar Apollo, but the crowd was 0/10.
Omar had excellent stage presence, he went above and beyond my expectations, and they were already high! He was fully devoted to giving a great show! I’ve been to a couple of concerts but his show definitely had to be my favorite one!

And this is by far the best one ive been to. Omar has some of the sweetest fans and the size of the venue added to the vibes of the performance. He’s a wonderful singer. 10/10 would love to experience this all over again.

Omar Apollo is a STAR bro, his versatility on stage is crazy. Singing, dancing, playing his guitars, he’s just the real deal and exceeded my already high expectations. Even his openers Niko Rubio and Deb Never were great on their own and a great pairing to the tour. Can’t wait for future shows from him, he’s gonna be HUGE.

Omar Apollo knows how to command a stage and make sure his audience is living for his performance. Omar knows how to keep us engaged and wanting for more. Omar is truly a one of a kind of artist and who knows how to put on a show. There is something magnetic and magical about Omar that puts you in a trance and makes everything feel unreal. Omar’s concert felt as if time itself stood still as he kept putting life into every single song he sang and made you feel alive. Every artist should take a note from Omar because he is that good. Omar truly is indescribable as no matter how someone can describe their experience, you must experience it for yourself in person to understand what we are talking about. Omar is a genuine human being that cares and is a one of kind soul that is refreshing and full of life that you don’t see often. It truly was one of the best experiences of my life in that I will cherish.
Omar Apollo knows how to control a stage and make an audience feel alive. This was a one of a kind of experience that many should experience. The life he gave to each and every single song is what every artist should strive to do. It was electric and life giving as time felt nonexistent and felt like it was never going to end. I would pay again over and over to see Omar perform again as he truly is a one of a kind artist. Omar is just truly indescribable. He is a genuine human being with a kind soul. You ain’t ever seen a brown boy do it like him.

I love Omar Apollo, to me, every song is something to get hooked on and relentlessly listen/sing. When I saw his ticket price on such a small venue I almost thought it was too good to be true, I bought them spontaneously the day of to see with my girlfriend and I had high expectations. But when he got up on stage he brought every song of his to life with a different take. I couldn't stop singing them, i couldn't stop jumping, and I couldn't stop head banging. Then he sprinkled in some slow songs and I got to dance with my girlfriend, the emotion behind his singing and lyrics made her cry and I was close to follow. He was not only amazing to hear perform, but he was extraordinarily entertaining and funny on stage. I had an amazing view of the entire stage with space to dance and I was surprised I was so close. His concert will be the best one I'll ever go, hands down. I highly recommend you start listening to him seriously asap and get pumped for his next concert, once you fall in love with the music you will have the best concert experience possible. It's a strong opinion, but his range, performance, and style is not something I will ever expect to see again (until I see him in concert again). Really blessed to have been able to see him, I know I will take the opportunity again to do it because even if the price triples it will 100% be worth it!
