Overall the game was very good. Lots of people cheering and having fun. This was our first hockey game we had gone too and would like to go again, as it was fun. Hockey puck throwing was amazing, how fun and exciting.
Dollar Beers and Dollar Hot Dogs.... The game starts at 7:05 but the dollar beers are available from 6:00 to 7:00. This just seems ridiculous to me. Also we got there at 6:30 and had to wait in the will call line for an hour to get our tickets. Yes that is correct, the game had already started and we were not going to be drinking any beers ($6 if you want to pay full price). I got over not getting any beer for the night and looked forward to a dollar hot dog, but that wasn't going to happen either. When we went up to the line to grab a couple dogs we were told that they were frozen and to come back in 30-45 minutes. I find it hard to believe that you do not thaw out enough hot dogs for a game. On to the hockey.... The game was pretty good and there isn't a bad seat in the civic. Overall the trip turned out to be decent if you count no beers, no hot dogs, and we missed the first period. Advice: Get there early or print your tickets online.
This was my first Lancer game since I used to watch them at Hancock Ice arena, many many years ago. It was awesome! Thinking of getting season tickets if its possible!
It was a good game with two awesome fights. It would have been better if the Lancers had won.
Needs some better games during breaks. The chicken/bird was not very entertaining.
