Not a repeat fan
by Sumnerrt on 5/13/14Cox Business Center (formerly Tulsa Convention Center) - Tulsa1. Parking was best part of evening; $5 and we found a spot right in front of the door. (Because hardly no one was there) 2. On way to seats, bought a beer; $8.50 for a 3.2% beer - wasted money. 3. Not crowded at all, so usher allowed us to sit where we wanted since our seats were between two couples. 4. Pre-game music and announcer was so loud, I actually put my fingers in my ears. I don't say that lightly because I spent 22 years in the Army and use to loud noises. We almost left at that point. It did get better after the game started, but it was pretty bad before the game. 5. Field had 100mph tape on it in places, helped make the whole event cheap. 6. Cheerleaders were not well rehearsed, looked like they we're put together that same week. 7. Both teams players were worth watching, that part of the night was good. The referees, in my opinion were not the "a-team" because there were controversial calls. 8. Kids in attendance looked like they were having a great time. There were a group of them and they were full of energy. 9. My knees were in the back of the seat in front of me, but they were padded. Bottom line: we won't be returning and I don't see the Defenders having a long future. Suggestions: Cheerleaders need to rehearse Lower concession stand prices Get ref's in training Turn down music Throw out some t-shirts More advertising Police the crowd and give warnings for overly rowdy fans and 2 strikes your out.
