Fun and engaging

Oklahoma City Thunder History
The Oklahoma City Thunder were originally founded as the Seattle SuperSonics in 1967. The SuperSonics relocated to Oklahoma City in 2008 after qualifying for the NBA playoffs 22 times, winning their division six times, advancing to three NBA Finals, and winning the NBA Championship in 1979.
The Thunder are now the only major professional sports team in Oklahoma. After relocating to Oklahoma City, the Thunder qualified for their first playoffs in the 2009–10 season. During the 2010–11 season, they won their first division title and the following season they won their first Western Conference championship.
The 2011–12 season marked the team’s first appearance in the NBA Finals since 1996, but they have not yet won a championship since moving to Oklahoma City. The Oklahoma City Thunder's name comes from a reference to Oklahoma's location in Tornado Alley, and Oklahoma City being the home of the U.S. Army's 45th Infantry Division, which were known as the Thunderbirds.
The Thunder began their rebuilding process in 2019 after acquiring All-Star guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and drafting top prospects including Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren. The new era Thunder qualified for the 2023 play-in game and won their first matchup, but ultimately did not advance to the playoffs after falling to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Following the 2023–24 season, head coach Mark Daigneault won the league’s Coach of the Year Award.
The team won their first NBA Championship as the Thunder in 2025.

Oklahoma City Thunder at Paycom Center
The Thunder have played in the same arena since Oklahoma City acquired the franchise in 2008, but it underwent several name changes before settling on Chesapeake Energy Arena in 2011. In 2021, its name was changed to Paycom Center(Opens in new tab).
But the volume and rowdiness of that college atmosphere has carried over into Thunder games, giving the metro's arena and fanbase the nickname "Loud City.” OKC has also taken to color blocking its crowd, giving different sections different colored shirts, a practice that has spread and become common among all teams in the NBA.

My first NBA game. Fun, and fast pace. The fact that there’s always music playing, constant entertainment, the energy is high. A bit pricey for a pre-season game.
That’s my second nba game at centre bell, that was very amazing. I hope more for the next years.
It was a great event. Everything was run very well. Our seats were very high up, but we could see perfectly. Our tickets were bought during the pre-sale and were affordable. The players from OKC took the time to sign my son’s hat. They were a class act.
Overall the game was great, I think everyone can agree on that. The thing I was more disappointed about was the pregame. Last year, there was a lot of activities and it was one of the best part of the night, so we decided that this year, we would arrive sooner so we could enjoy the pregame activities more than last year. Sadly for us, there was almost no pregame activities this year. I think there is room for improvement on this part of the night, there is one game from the NBA each year in Montreal, it would be nice if the event was bigger so people could enjoy it more.
Last game of season and the B team plays. All super-stars that you pay to see play were sat out. If you are.going to do that then make the tickets 1/2 price. NEVER AGAIN. I rather watch College basketball.
Everyone is so friendly! It’s always a great time going to a Thunder game!!!
Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Our seats were great. The game was fantastic. Will definitely go to another game!
This was our Son first basketball game and he really had a great time. He really came out of his shell and now we are all OKC fans!!!
My kids and I really enjoyed staying in Bricktown and the Thunder game was the icing on the cake. Great environment and very entertaining the entire game. The staff at the stadium were very helpful! Hope we go back next year.
Great game , excellent food and fantastic half time show
My grandson was super excited to witness Thunder’s best scores ever!!! He loved every minute!
This is our 10th year as Thunder fan with partial season tickets and will hopefully be for many years to come.
I love attending Thunder Games! We always have a great time and it's even better when they win! :)
Incredible arena, great atmosphere, great world class show. Definitely recommend to everyone.
My boyfriend got picked to play in a fun game during the game and he won it and got the big check!
First of all, I get to watch the game live action. Security is quick and efficient. Food is great and you have options to choose from. The people are amazing and super friendly. Going to the game has to be the best thing you can do in Oklahoma if you want to enjoy yourself.
Upon arrival we didn't have to wait long, finding our seats was easy... great food and drinks
Living in the Kansas City area, we only have pro baseball and football teams but no NBA teams. While visiting family during holiday in Oklahoma City, I had the opportunity to attend my first NBA game. The ticket value was excellent ($16/seat) and, despite being in the nosebleeds on one end of the court, the experience did not disappoint! Concessions were easy to access and there wasn’t a boring moment. At this event, there were activities during the various timeouts and halftime that kept things moving along. It does help when the home team wins and the Thunder did not disappoint there either :) This is something my son and I will do again hopefully when we come back to OKC in the future
As always it was a wonderful experience. I’m handicapped on crutches sip I have to get a seat in lower row of Section 103. Paycom employers are always so helpful in getting me to my seat!!!! Appreciate the same guy who gets me from entrance to my seat in wheelchair each time I attend!!!
I always sit in lower part of section 103. Everyone at Paycom is extremely friendly to me. I have a handicap of being on crutches. Not sure what the gentleman employee’s name is but he takes me to my seat in a wheelchair every time I attend a game. Extremely friendly and he gets me after game as well and takes me to exit.
