This was our first year attending this event and I am still blown away by how great it was. While it seemed crowded, the lines for beer were minimal. Endless tastings of great beer. We were able to walk right out and get fair food and bring it in. They had a DJ playing and people dancing. Surprised I stayed the whole time and loved it. Thankful for Uber.
Overall, I had a great time at the Brew Hee Haw. My only gripe is that I paid for the VIP ticket and only two breweries offered something special for that hour. I felt like it was money wasted.
Went last year. This year there were more selections. Great time. Great beer. Good music.
Unlimited tasting of beer..in tasting glass... Makes for a good time.
Had a great time. Lots of fun with me, wife and son. My wife was the dd and got in free. Really liked the ciders. Was more than worth the price. Easy access to both the tasting and fair. Definitely a nice crowd of people.
Mainly chose the VIP session for the "special" pours. There were little to no special pours. DJ music was lacking, maybe live bands.
Definitely worth the price considering how expensive beers are at the OC Fair in general. VIP was great too to get even more beer!
There was a good amount and variety of beers to choose from. Downsides were that there was much less shade compared to last year and no smoking section. I had to completely exit the fair to smoke or cape. Ugh.
Awesome event. Gets better each year. Great selection of breweries with friendly people working the booths. I'll definitely be back.
The event was a lot of fun but the venue became crowded as the event proceeded. All types of beer was available so everyone was able to find something they liked. The access to the fair was a plus but became a minus when one of our party had to waiting line for 55 minutes to get into the fair. A separate line or the opportunity to upgrade for a speed pass would be better. VIP status should get you more than an extra hour. At the SD Beerfest in the SD County Fair we received the hour plus any area for VIP's only with special beers and bathroom access. Well worth the extra $20.
The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it was a little inconvenient to have to leave the event area to enter the actual fair for any food. The breweries were all good, lots of choices and I was happy about the variety. Definitely will attend next year!
Had such a great time here! All the staff were awesome and very friendly. Kylie and her fiance Garrett were very warm and welcoming. So many amazing vendors. Would definitely go again and I would recommended this event to anyone who loves beer! :)
