Was so fun but not too many vendors. Couldn't find a sweatshirt to save my life. But seats were great! Definitely would go again.
This was our first time and now we are hooked. I grew up around rodeo but was unfamiliar with this type of event. WOW! what a show. Aside from the event being very entertaining, the people were very friendly and the show went off without a hitch, at least from a rookies standpoint. Deffinately worth the time and money. We will be back.
As Europeans we wanted to see something really typical, local and I think our wish came true. However, we didn't understand the rules which made the event a little boring for some of the group. I enjoyed the wine tasting and my son loved the "horses for sale". Next time we are going to study the rules before.
As with every year the Snaffle Bit Futurity was amazing. We loved the finals of both the non pro and the pro. The shopping was also fabulous.
Always the best athletes human and equine. The sales were well run and the auctioneer was great. Location could use more food vendors and a bigger bar in the future. Will be going again every year.
This year's event was as fun and exciting as we've come to expect. Love that the Open Finals were held on Saturday night. The extra venues, i.e., wine tasting, Markel/AQHA reception were nice touches. The riders and horses did not disappoint; however the judges did. The reviewed score for Brandon Buttars in the cow work was all wrong. Until next year!
Clinton Anderson is probably one of the most successful horse/people trainers I have ever had the pleasure to watch and learn from. His methods and success are so amazing, I don't see why anyone would not enjoy attending. I have been to numerous demonstrations and have volunteered for DownUnderHorsemanship on multiple occasions. I would willing do so anytime I have the chance. I highly recommend any demonstration presented by Clinton Anderson.
the second time I've seen Clinton in person, but watch his show on TV all the time. I only wish I'd known his method of training during the years I owned/rode horses. The horses are so much better today because of it; they are doing what is asked of them because they understand what is wanted; not because they fear punishment if they don't do it.
I attend the Snaffle Bit every year and I have never been disapointed.
What a beautiful display of cow horse reining, etc
Lots of great riders and great horses. Some of the riders I have followed for years and it was good to see some of the old timers out there "riding the hair off of their horses".
Seats were horrible, moved to general admission to see better. Judging was some of the worst I've ever seen. All in all, pretty irritating way to spend my money.
It was great fun, super nice people, some of the best horses and exciting to watch. If you are a working cow horse fan this is the event to see.
What a great time!! To be surrounded with the best of the best.
Everyone who loves horses needs to go to this event! For me, it was like being back stage at a rock concert surrounded by rock stars. I actually cried when Les Vogt and Turbo (Nic It) came into the arena. Very emotional.
I have been going to the SBF every year since I was 17 years old. I never have a bad time.
It took my breath asway!!!!
GREAT SHOW ALL THE WAY AROUND
