The North Carolina Tar Heels baseball team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The team competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I. The Tar Heels play their home games at Boshamer Stadium, which is located on the university's campus.

The Tar Heels have won five national championships, in 1946, 1968, 1981, 1986, and 2019. They have also appeared in the College World Series 12 times, most recently in 2019.

The Tar Heels have had a number of players who have gone on to play professional baseball. Some of the most notable include Andrew Miller, Dustin Ackley and Colin Moran.

Miller, a left-handed pitcher, played for the North Carolina Tar Heels before embarking on his successful MLB career. He has played for multiple teams in the MLB, including the Detroit Tigers, Miami Marlins, New York Yankees, Cleveland Guardians, and St. Louis Cardinals. Miller has been known for his dominant pitching and has been a key asset in various bullpen roles throughout his career.

Ackley, an outfielder and first baseman, played for the Tar Heels before being selected by the Seattle Mariners as the second overall pick in the 2009 MLB Draft. Ackley played for the Mariners and the New York Yankees during his MLB career, showcasing his versatility and offensive skills.

Finally, Moran, an infielder, played for the North Carolina Tar Heels and was selected by the Miami Marlins as the sixth overall pick in the 2013 MLB Draft. He has since played for the Houston Astros, Pittsburgh Pirates and Cincinnati Reds, displaying his hitting ability and defensive versatility in the MLB.

The Tar Heels have played their home games at Boshamer Stadium since 1922. The stadium is named after UNC alumnus and baseball coach Jack C. Boshamer. Boshamer Stadium has a capacity of 5,000 people.
