We had a blast. We took our 5 year old and he loved it!
They put on a wonderful show and kept things moving fast. Unfortunately all three nights the music & announcer were so loud we couldn’t hear (yes, so loud we could NOT hear). The seats in Freedom Hall are also incredibly small.
While picking up family at the airport I saw a cowboy carrying a bronc saddle. A quick Google search told me that the National Championship Rodeo was in town. We already had plans for a Day at the Races at Churchill Downs so a quick drive to the Expo Center for an evening of Rodeo was a perfect day. The arena was smaller than we were use to and much louder than outdoor venues so bring cotton for your ears and headphones to protect the small kids ears. But the announcer was great and the cowboys and cowgirls knew their stuff. We had great seats behind the announcers close to all the action. They had great livestock to work with and well trained horses to ride. The bull fighters where i. The thick of things and provides a little entertainment with a pretty paint horse. This will probably be added to our activities during the annual family visit.
Rodeo itself was the bomb. First time ever! Went with my daughter and son inlaw. The only issues we had was the seats are not made to accommodate a wide person. I even checked to see if the arm rest folded up. It doesn't. The few times we did stand we kept hitting our hips on the arm rests as we sat down. As we sat there we felt as if we were violating each others space. Leg space was cramped too. My knees were directly over my toes. No way to stretch them even a bit. Thankful for the padded seat. Can't wait for next time.
I love going to this rodeo each November. It is always lots of fun.
Awesome first time Rodeo experience in Louisiana Ky! The showmanship the thrill the competition was phenomenal! Reasonable priced and appreciated the extra attention for “disabled” seating. The food overpriced but service was tops!
So easy, completely secure & we had a BLAST!!!! IT WAS AWESOME!
I ordered 5 tickets and took my family. It was my granddaughter’s first rodeo and she had a blast!! My dad is 75 and it was his first time also
My family and I have been going to the North American for many years, always a blast. Started with my kids, now my grands!! We love it every year!
First time going and it was a pretty good experience. Glad we got to go. The whole show was amazing.
Rodeo was amazing, seats were great UNTIL they weren’t… we were near the entrance to stadium and we had people blocking the entire time standing when they should have been made to return to their seats. Not a Ticketmaster issue more of an event security issue.
Mixed feeling going in .. ended up being fun. The show pace was great. Good variety of entertainment.
Our kid's first trip to the rodeo and they loved it! Funny caller and clown, great entertainment between rides/events, high quality acts. Would definitely recommend and go again!
Loved the whole weekend. My granddaughter participated in the Draft Horse shows with CCD out of Charlestown, Ky. Had a great time!!
My mom and I came to the rodeo Saturday night! She absolutely loved it!! She recently moved back from Georgia!! Definitely attend again!
We go every year. This is first time in this section and it was horrible. I’m only 5’3 and I was cramped in seats. They packed everyone in like sardines to make that extra buck. It was miserable!!!
zero leg room - $10 to park. Line of cars to get I . Overpriced food and drink. Maybe I was spoiled by the Houston Rodeo
This was the sixth year my granddaughter and I attended, plus this year I brought my grandson and daughter. The rodeo was not up to par for a Saturday night final. The animals won almost everything. The ladies were good but it takes more. The venue caught us off guard this year. Too many events going on at once. Ended up parking two miles away ( I am recovering from knee replacement) so walking through grass, dirt, med animal feces was a nightmare and after getting into the building we were at the furtherest end of the expo center. Finally made it but missed first twenty minutes due to taking so much time getting there. NO handicapped parking for those of us with both tags, canes and walkers!!! Parking attendants blamed it on the trucks pulling animals taking up all parking for cars. I’m not sure about next year. It was such a disappointing experience and my seven year old grandson informed me he didn’t want to come back. That hurt!!!!
The show was excellent. Our group ranged from ages 12-65 and everyone enjoyed the rodeo. The venue needs improvement. We have been to a variety of events in multiple venues and this is the worst I have been in. The seats were extremely small, even my 80 lb 12 year old didn’t have a ton of room. Not only were the seats small but there was absolutely no leg room. When sitting properly in the seats our knees were pretty much in the person in front of you’s back. The venue just needs some updates and improvements in Freedom Hall, but the rodeo was an excellent show.
