About

As a founding member of one of the biggest and best British bands ever, Noel Gallagher has been hugely influential in shaping the course of British rock'n'roll. Oasis had a total of eight No. 1 singles in the UK as well as eight No. 1 albums. Gallagher also had a No. 1 single with “Setting Sun” in collaboration with The Chemical Brothers in 1996.

Since Oasis split up for good in 2009, he has taken more of a back-seat role in the UK music scene but has continued to be successful with his new band, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.

Oasis were very heavily influenced by several 1960s bands, such as The Beatles and The Who, and Noel managed to intelligently combine these influences to create a brand new sound that would come to dominate Brit Pop in the 1990s. Their first album, Definitely Maybe, which was released in 1994, became Britain's fastest-selling debut album ever and went to No. 1 in the UK and Irish album charts. Oasis were now on a roll and their second album, What's the Story Morning Glory, was released just over a year later. Morning Glory was a huge global success, spawning the singles “Don't Look Back in Anger,” “Wonderwall,” “Some Might Say” and “Champagne Supernova,” all of which were written solely by Noel.

Between 1997 and 2010, Oasis went on to have six more acclaimed albums with Be Here Now, Standing on the Shoulders of Giants, Heathen Chemistry, Don't Believe the Truth, Dig Out Your Soul and the compilation, Time Flies: 1994-2009. Over the years, Noel and his brother Liam were notorious for their feuding, and in 2009 they disbanded Oasis permanently. Liam formed Beady Eye with the rest of Oasis and Noel formed a brand new band, his High Flying Birds. Their eponymous debut album appeared in 2011.

Noel also regularly appears on stage with Kasabian, a band that he influenced hugely during the 1990s. Although it is generally accepted that Noel and Liam could never work together again, the brothers have a huge and loyal following, and rumors continue to circulate concerning a possible reunion. Should they ever decide to put the original Oasis line-up back on stage together, it would certainly be one of the most anticipated gigs ever.

    Great Artist

by Anonymous on 6/9/15Boston Opera House - Boston

I like Oasis but sometimes you just have to accept and move on. Noel is an amazing songwriter and performer with an excellent band and does not need to look back. I saw Beady Eye in concert and I can tell you that Liam needs Noel but Noel is doing just fine on his own. In fact, reunions are usually disappointing and if you don't need the money you're better off looking forward. And I like that his music is not Oasis 2.0 but that he includes a few old hits. He's also smart and witty.

The man drove 6 hours in a car to do the gig...

by ngfan1 on 7/16/12Pearl Concert Theatre - Las Vegas

Yes, Mr. Gallagher didn't disappoint at all! Amazing show. He was a little late due to a flight out of L.A. being cancelled. So they had to hire a car and drive him 6 hours through the desert and get him to the show an hour late. No soundcheck, just walks on stage plugs in and plays for an hour and a half! Legend! With only a Burger King value meal on his stomach too! All the great Noel classic songs mixed with most of the new album bar Stop The Clocks. Sound was great! I had 3rd row seats. Great night with my buddy who lives in Vegas!

I am an Oasis fan and have recently enjoyed listening to Noel's new band and first album. Going to the concert and hearing some Oasis songs and Noel's album live was phenomenal. The Pearl and the Palms Las Vegas was the perfect venue. I wish I would have gotten closer seats, it definitely would have been worth the extra money. Best concert of my life so far. I can't wait to see him again.

Noel Gallagher is better than anyone else! Period

by ngfan1 on 4/28/12Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

The show started late. However, there was an explanation for that given by a lady over the PA. MONA the first band rocked! They are from Nashville, TN making waves across the US with Noel. I've seen them twice and both times were great. When Noel finally took the stage at 10 p.m., everyone came alive. Noel walked on stage, without a soundcheck and played 19 songs straight like it was nothing! He definitely described his tardiness having to drive 6.5 hours in a car from Los Angeles to Vegas for the show. We heard most if not all of the new Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds album and a good mixture of Oasis B-sides and fan favorites. No Wonderwall though, but Whatever instead! Whatever was a single release as a stand alone in England in 1994. Never put on a studio album. Always a favorite in Japan. Noel played it in Vegas! Supersonic was played acoustically also.

    EPIC in ALL WAYS !

    by nicelemon2 on 4/28/12Riveria - Chicago

Noel Gallagher is MUCH BETTER live than his brother Liam. Noel sings very clear and his lyrics over power his guitar, drums & key board sounds. He's worth EVERY SINGLE CENT you spend to go see him. NOEL really is a gifted guy and a REALLY NICE GUY.

Despite the short delay at the start (which actually helped me) definitely worth waiting for and a brilliant show.

Noel was amazing. His flight was canceled so he got in a car and drove 6.5 hours to be there and I will be forever grateful. His band was tight and he was spot on. I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!

    Noel Gallagher: Godlike Genius!

by A340Spotter on 4/23/12Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

Noel's recipe for success is delivering the goods time and time again. He's assembled a fantastic supporting cast with his High Flying Birds and as the concert went on, the spotlight shone on them as much as him. Mikey Rowe's work on the Melotron was amazing and Jeremy Stacey's drumming seemed laughibly effortless throughout the show. While Oasis only featured Liam and Noel on vocals, Noel has bassist Russell Pritchard and guitarist Tim Smith incorporated on songs at all times. I've seen Oasis/Beady Eye at a bunch of different venues and I have to say that Noel's new lineup sounded better now than anything in the past. As for the venue, The Pearl's acoustics were very good for the guitar laden group, however I would say that opening act Mona had the sound just a bit off for their speedier songs. That may have been a soundboard issue more than the theater, though. Overall, amazing night!

No doubt, Noel was Oasis' soul

by aleper on 4/22/12Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

Even when the show started much later because of a flight cancellation, Noel largely compensated the wait and played an amazing show. I enjoyed all new songs and Oasis best hits. I strongly recommend this show.

    Noel Gallagher

by ColoradoFan1994 on 4/22/12Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

What an event. Noel showed up a tad late but it didn't matter. He and the band rocked it. The venue was better than I expected. Noel is my personal favorite artist. So this was a big show for me. Of course, the show was incredible. The opening act, MONA, was very, very good. I downloaded their album a day later.

    Noel was amazing!

    by Jeni17 on 4/21/12Orpheum Theatre - Phoenix

Noel Gallagher sounded perfect. The new album is outstanding and it was great hearing a lot of Oasis songs. Would have loved to hear a couple more classics, but I can't really complain too much. :-) Mona was a great as the opening act too. All around, a pretty awesome concert.

    Supersonic!!!

by xisco on 4/20/12Orpheum Theatre - Phoenix

The show was amazing. Noel's voice was in great form, and his new band are very good. The setlist had a great mix of Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and Oasis material. There were great moments of banter between Noel and the crowd. The only problem was the jerks in the crowd yelling out for Liam and calling out for Oasis songs that it was clear he wasn't going to play. Oasis is my favorite band of all time, but if Noel keeps putting out great records and performing awesome shows like this one I for one would not be disappointed. Worth every penny, and then some.

Wonderful venue and sound duplicated the recording

    by Arsenal11 on 4/20/12Orpheum Theatre - Phoenix

I found Noel to be aloof and I understand that this might be his persona and so I accept it. His album has a wonderful sound to it and the band reproduced that well. The highlight for me were the Oasis songs, especially "Don't Look Back in Anger."

    Noel was flying high!

by LuArgent on 4/20/12Orpheum Theatre - Phoenix

The theatre was beautiful. Noel is definitely doing what he wants on his solo career, he played most of the songs on his solo album + mostly B sides of his Oasis career. The acustic version of Supersoni was absolutely sick!! Loved it!
