    Wish we had more of Freshly Ground and way less of Blitz the Ambassdor. Freshly Ground should not have been the opening act... Nneka and Loukza were amazing as well. Blitz performance...I could have passed on.

    Nneka put on an amazing performance, as did her amazing band! I just wish they could have played longer! The rest of the bands were fantastic, as well. So glad I was able to make the trip!

    The 4 different groups performing in the African Music Festival had all completely different styles, from joyful dance music (my favorite, 'freshly ground" to African soul/folk to protest to rap. A great show, and the dj in between sets played terrific music too.
