Nicotine Dolls is a NYC based Pop/Rock band formed in 2017 with lead singer Sam Cieri, Guitarist John Hays, Bassist John Merritt, and Drummer Abel Tabares.
The band has been steadily releasing singes and EPs since 2019. They have built a devoted and strong base through their successful Social Media engagement. The bands most recent release “What Makes You Sad” was able to garner over 19k Pre-Saves and opened at #5 on the Itunes all Genre chart.
The Nicotine Dolls put on an amazing show! It was funny, heartwarming, and a fantastic experience. I’d see them again in a heartbeat. It was well worth the drive from Omaha to KC.
Seriously, couldn’t have been a better show! Small venue, super intimate, and a set that will knock your socks off!
I saw Sam Cieri on Instagram with a clip from the cover of Simply the Best back in June 2023, when I heard his voice, I immediately looked for where the band was performing close to where I live in San Francisco. Kansas City was the closest so I said WTH I'm going! They did not disappoint! Real, funny, talented and clearly a band of brothers. Sam's rap in between songs makes you feel like you're in his living room, just hanging out with real folks. Loved every second, will be a diehard fan for a long time!
I was a fan from the first moment I heard that voice! And seeing the Nicotine Dolls live was amazing! Not only are they extremely talented musicians and lyrically gifted geniuses but they also put on a fun & interactive concert! Intelligent and soulful music with witty commentary. Can't wait to see them again! Love!
Nicotine dolls were beyond amazing !! Sam Cieri has one of the best voices of all time . They put on a great show and were very engaged with the crowd . There was some confusion regarding VIP nothing said when to be there or what time it was so we missed it , but they graciously met us back stage after . They are so humble and amazing !
One of the best bands out there. Awesome show! Did not disappoint! We are definitely fans and whenever they are in town, we are there!
It has been a long time since I have been to a concert. My listening style used to run from big name mega seat concerts to listening rooms. I think Nicotine Dolls hit a sweet spot large enough to give a concert experience yet still intimate enough to make you feel like you could connect with the band. Highly recommend both the band and the venue. Only regret no CD’s available for purchase
So enjoyed watching the Nicotine Dolls perform at the Loft! They are personable and fun entertainers. Love their sound, their music and especially loved the small venue.
My daughter and I had a wonderful time watching Nicotine Dolls perform on October 6. There were a lot of laughs, audience interaction and of course awesome music! We will definitely go to (hopefully many) future shows.
GO SEE THEM! I have seen them twice so far. Sam interacts with the audience which makes seem like it's family getting together, playing music and having a good time. I had the VIP Meet & Greet. (I had meet them in April of this year when they opened for Marc Broussard in Charlottesville, VA.) They are down to earth guys. Fun show. Sam is hilarious. Will go see them again.
Nicotine Dolls were awesome and we loved every minute of them. And the opening band was good, but would have been better if we had been made aware there WAS an opening band. Also, the venue appears to have seating, but we arrived to very SPARSE seating, most of which was taken at 7:30 when the doors opened. I would like to see full disclosure about venues and shows from Ticketmaster, please.
Everything was amazing! Nicotine Dolls showed up and delivered and their opener, Abbie Roper was phenomenal as well. The whole concert felt so intimate and personal. The band has such a great chemistry and admiration for each other and you could really sense that while they were on stage. I hope they all come back! The staff at The Southern were amazing. It was such an amazing night that will live in my memory bank forever, so thank you Abbie, John Oliver for the wicked guitar playing, and Nicotine dolls for venturing out to Charlottesville and showing out!! Love y’all for that.
All the guys put on one hell of a fun show! They know how to keep the mood high and their fans energized! I cannot wait to see them again!
Nicotine Dolls are the most phenomenal band live!! Their original music connects instantly to the audience and the room becomes electric!! Front man & lyricist, Sam Cieri in a talent like no other holding the audience in the palm of his hand with each and every song. His voice and range are so unique that you have to hear him live just to believe how incredible a talent he is. Not only can the man sing but his interactions with the audience and his comedic timing and impressions of certain famous people (if you follow there TikTok you will know what I mean) are an added bonus to any show. The man is star. Guitarist John Hays is a hidden gem within the band, his guitar solos drive the crowds wild but he also has an incredible singing voice too!! This is another man who has great comedy timing and great stories to tell that have the audience in stitches. Bass guitarist John Merritt is the man we all love to watch rock out as he gets lost in the music at each and every show. If you ever get to see ND do an acoustic show Merritt brings out the double bass and gives the show a whole new vibe entirely. His little quips and commentary from the stage are hilarious especially when he is heckling the others . Rounding out the best damn rhythm section in NYC is Drummer Abel Tabares who might just be the coolest and most chilled out guys there is, he is in total control over everything he does and keeps better time than a Rolex!! He might be quiet taking wise on stage but he is a force to be reckoned. This is a band that gives you everything they have when they are on that stage. They create magical moments for fans that they will remember for ever. Not only are they the most talented band but they are the nicest people too and I would highly recommend everyone see them live!! Five stars doesn’t seem anywhere near enough to give this band because each concert is a unique experience that anyone is lucky to see. Nicotine Dolls are the future of music ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This show was even better than I hoped for! My fave shows these days are in small venues. Love the intimate vibes and connection w the music and band. This was definitely the venue and band for such a night. They played a lot of new music which I can’t wait to hear again but also our faves. Sam is very funny, vulnerable, and open between songs. I can’t wait to see them again
Jimmy's Jazz and Blues bar is a sublime venue. NicotineDolls concert was a once in a lifetime experience. Swoon 😻❤️Fancy drinks?? early show ?? a seat at a bar 🍸? yes please! This velvet gravel voice 😍 the orchestrations and the way you write about anxiety and human emotions...just gave me all the feelings. go to this venue and SUPPORT THIS BAND! 8600 🌟 stars!
