About

Nicki Minaj’s 2010 debut album Pink Friday might otherwise be referred to as the booty-shake heard round the world – since the record’s release, no other contemporary female rapper has had a bigger impact on hip hop than Minaj. Known for her rapid-fire flow, playful use of accents, and kaleidoscopically over-the-top style, Minaj is widely regarded as one of the most influential artists in the history of the genre. In 2013, Minaj took home the BET Award for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist for the fourth consecutive year, becoming the first woman to do so and firmly establishing her role as hip hop’s reigning queen. In 2012, Minaj released her second studio album to a No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200, adding to her already-impressive array of hits with “Starships” and “Beez in the Trap (feat. 2 Chainz)." Born in Trinidad and raised in Queens, Minaj studied performing arts in high school and dreamed of becoming an actress before making her rap debut with a series of mixtapes released in the late 2000’s. Her 2010 studio debut Pink Friday peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, making her an overnight sensation with the massive success of singles “Moment 4 Life (feat. Drake)” and “Super Bass.” In all, Minaj hold’s the record as the most-charted female rapper in the history of the Billboard Hot 100, with a whopping 44  singles on the chart. On tour in 2013, Minaj has wowed ticket buyers with her outrageous live concerts, earning praise for her infectious energy and building anticipation for the release of her third full-length album in 2014.

3 hours late no opening acts

by Lo on 5/14/24American Airlines Center - Dallas

Sadly disappointed that the show started 3 hours late. I feel ripped off bc the show time was for 8pm but started at 11. There wasn’t any opening acts and the dj was only there for 20 mins. The concert went on for 2.5 hours! The show was decent.

    Worst concert ever

by Jem on 5/13/24American Airlines Center - Dallas

She came out late and she made us wait for her tea and postponed a day early, Idk I wish I didn’t go the second time. I honestly wish I got my refund for the DALLAS show

    Late

by MillionN1 on 5/13/24American Airlines Center - Dallas

Good show, but for goodness sake! Said the show starts at 8, didn’t start until 11 with no opener, after a date change 4 days before the show. 3 hours with no opener.

Nicki Minaj PROVES once again, she is the QUEEN OF RAP

by Eduardo on 5/13/24American Airlines Center - Dallas

My experience was amazing as we landed in Gag City Nicki Minaj made sure to provide a outstanding and spectacular show. While wait times were long for her to come out on stage I was never left disappointed. Flashy images, great dance choreography, she actually RAPPED her verses instead of using backing track for majority of the concert like other rappers tend to do, but Nicki Minaj makes sure to actually rap during her show. The biggest complaint if any was the show starting at 10:40pm but like I said I was not disappointed at the quality of the show. Also props to DJ Boof, after his performance I say he is one of the best DJ’s I have ever seen live. Overall be aware of the late show start times but remember this is a unforgettable experience. Live in the moment. Make it one for life.

AAC Owes Barbz & Nicki A Redo

by Incognito Barbie on 5/13/24American Airlines Center - Dallas

At some point the American Airline Center should invite Nicki to redo her show for all that purchased tickets at her convenience. Many couldn’t make the last minute date change even though sold out. Nicki’s voice was strained and you could tell not having a day off from 2 back to back shows to do a 3rd in Dallas affected the show. But, Nicki pushed through because the show must go on. We needed bigger screens on the stage or the Jumbotron to be on so we could visibly see the stage performances for those not in Section 1. I’ve been to concerts and the venue setup isnt the best to see the act. This may be my 1st and last concert at the AAC. As expensive as it is to be at the venue, fans should be able to see the stage on big screens. I don’t know if there were logical issues with having the stage production set up because the set looked different from previous venues. Idk, I just feel the date change really affected the experience of the fans and the artist. I’m leaning towards maybe the show should’ve been postponed for a future date. I did love seeing all the Barbz and their outfit creations.
