Vinvent Ingala and Nick Colione - Off the charts!

by Jazzluvinmama on 11/21/17CityStage - Springfield

I have always loved both Vincent Ingala and Nick Colione but had never seen them in person. Their performances were amazing , unforgettable and the best I've ever seen. The venue was perfect; small enough to be intimate but large enough to rock the house. I love sax and guitar and both Vincent and Nick did not disappoint. The energy in the room was off the charts and their interactions with the fans were sublime. Thank you for bringing such amazing performers to Springfield. I can't wait for more!!!

    Outstanding Performance

by VT66 on 4/30/17Berks Jazz Fest - Reading

I've been wanting to attend one of these Midnight Jams for a while. Over the years, I heard a number of folks say they were great. A midnight start time was always daunting for me. Having now gone to this show, I can say it was great and on my hit list for future jazz fests. All the musicians were great. I especially liked the dueling bass jam with Brian Bromberg and Gerald Veasley, and the funk session with Jeff Bradshaw. This was a great way to start the fest.

    No Better Jazz

by JackStack on 3/21/16Gem Theater - Kansas City

I was blown away on Friday night at the Gem Theater , what a remarkable duo of natural soulful talent. Everette and Nick gave Kansas City a Jazz Explosion! Nick literally called a party and we jammed and danced. Thank you!

    Nick Colionne at Mable House

by StellaTheAngryPinkBird on 9/15/15Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - Mableton

There was a lot of talent there including Nick Colionne, Tim Bowman, Jeff Lorber, Eric Marienthal and Jimmy Haslip. However, with Nick, it was more like Smooth Moves instead of Smooth Jazz. I came there enjoy music, not a 3 minute song about buying a CD or a 20 minute guitar lead where you hit 12 notes and one chord 150 times. I can do that I haven't played guitar since middle school. He sounded more like Barry White. This isn't what I would term a class act that should be typical of a modern, smooth jazz concert. Although we very much enjoyed listening to Tim Bowman and all the guys playing with Jeff Lorber.

    Loved Meadows/Taylor; so/so for Colionne

by PSUJandB on 4/23/15Berks Jazz Fest - Reading

Really enjoyed Marion Meadows and Paul Taylor. Their drummer was a show in himself. Both are great musicians. First time we saw Nick Colionne in person. He is a great musician and showman. But seems to be more of a showman. His going into the audience and singing to the crowd (mostly women) is cute but once is enough. He did it twice and it got old after a while. This isn't jazz.

    Berks Jazz Fan

by cvww on 4/21/15Berks Jazz Fest - Reading

Nick Colionne played the guitar brilliantly. He is one of the best players on the planet. Did not sing Rainy night in Georgia or play Hurry Up this Way again...big disappointment. His singing was better, but he should play more than sing. Marion and Paul were disappointing. Marion's last 2 songs were his big hits, but before that he was really boring and into his own thing. Paul Taylor, who is my favorite entertainer on the planet was horrible. Dressed like a thug, which is crazy....Did not play exotica which is by far his biggest hit. Very disappointing and he really lost 2 loyal fans.

by Gregboniest on 4/21/15Berks Jazz Fest - Reading

Marion & Paul were totally on time & in sink! Nick on the other hand? I was sure which I enjoyed more, the way he played his axe? Or the way he played the crowd, what a Showman!

by Spuddy52 on 4/21/15Berks Jazz Fest - Reading

Nick came out loud in his bright yellow outfit and his music shined just as brightly. His performance was amazing. Nick is very energetic, witty, and knows how to grab an audience. His suit was spectacular! He had the ladies saluting him legs up. Great performance!

A TygerGoods Review Of Marion Meadows & Paul Taylo

by TygerGoods on 4/21/15Berks Jazz Fest - Reading

When I saw that Marion Meadows was going to play at the Berks Jazz Festival, I jumped at the chance to buy tickets. Elated to see that he was being joined by Paul Taylor and Nick Colionne, I knew this was going to be an energetic, sexy Saturday with these jazz musicians. Just walking through the crowded parking lot at the Crown Plaza hotel, you could see that people traveled from many states to see this show. A great crowd greeted Marion and Paul as they took the stage and they pounded out a lot of their hits in 90 minutes. After intermission, Nick Colionne blazed onto the stage and lit up the room with his guitar licks and incredible interaction with his fans. Dancing and romancing the women, he really had the room moving and grooving as his band brought out the funk. A great show and one I will look forward to attending again.

    Nick Collionne...

by Soldiergyrl on 3/7/14Ritz Theatre - Jacksonville

Nick and his band were great! Unfortunately my friend was told that the show was "sold out" when it wasn't :( 2 orchestra seats next to me we're open as was half of the Ritz Theater. Not sure what happened or why it wasn't a full house but the performance was great nonetheless. I'll definitely be back to see Ken Ford in April!

    Amazing Event

by DEEDEEBB on 9/16/13Gem Theater - Kansas City

All three performers were simply awesome. I am a huge Paul Taylor fan. He is what drew me to this event. Paul never never disappoints.... I was rewarded with a great performance not only by Paul but by Nick and Joe as well. They have been added to my list of favorites!!!!! I am going to get some of Nick's CD's so he can get them out of his Mom's garage. LOL!!!

    Nick Colionne played forever!

by NYrangerFrank on 4/1/10Berks Jazz Fest - Reading

You 'gotta give this guy credit. He played a fantastic show with Eric Darius that was energetic, highly skilled and just plain fantastic. But even more...he played TWO (2) late night jam sessions at Gerald Veasley's JAZZ BASE at the hotel that were lots of fun. He was calling people out of the audiance to come play with him and the impromtu lot of musicians who jammed until they closed the bar!!! Fun, even funnier was his comments about the musicians, and the great music was a real treat. In all, Nick played 3 full shows. For those of us lucky enough to make all venues, we were really treated to some special moments. I'm still feeling the groove 5-days later.
