NICK 13 is a singer/songwriter who echoes the country music of the last century with a modern twist: Americana drawing on honky-tonk, California & Outlaw Country.
Perhaps best known for his band Tiger Army (who celebrated their 25th year in 2021), he’s not the first rock ‘n’ roller to have a love affair with country music, so his musical journey following punk back to its early rock ’n’ roll roots, then further to hillbilly & bluegrass shouldn’t be as surprising as it might at first seem.
His live solo debut at the Stagecoach Festival in 2010 drew many favorable notices (including the LA Times) & he returned in 2013. His eponymous debut album produced by legendary Americana musicians Greg Leisz & James Intveld was released by Sugar Hill Records in 2011.
The surrounding years saw performances at more festivals like Austin City Limits, live performances on legendary country music radio station WSM Nashville (including "Americana Carnival" & "All Nighter") & multiple US tours.
His video for "All Alone" was played on Great American Country, but his biggest video successes came with "Carry My Body Down" & "Nighttime Sky", both of which spent multiple weeks at #1 on the CMT Pure 12-Pack Countdown. Nick was also featured on Yahoo! Ram Country "Music With A View". His second Gretsch signature model guitar was released in 2020.
In recent years Nick’s focus returned to Tiger Army, but he's never stopped writing for his second solo album. His social media has indicated that recording new solo material is on his mind!

I had been waiting to hear this album for awhile , and was stoked when my girlfriend told me Boston was on the tour schedule. Having relocated to the New England area , I have been disappointed in the frequency of this genre for live acts. The sound, performance, and talent were top notch, to my surprise Dave Gleason was backing up Nick for this tour , I was blown away when I saw him on stage but couldn't confirm , till I heard that 1st twangy note thrown at the crowd. Nicks dapper appearance , and crooning vocal style , swooned all the fine looking ladies in the audience. I was a bit disappointed on the uptight nature of New England , with the lack to let one self go and dance or at least "hoot n holler" to let the gentlemen know what an amazing job they were doing. So my review of Nick 13 was top notch, as for the crowd you get 2 stars.
The venue was great and the ticket price was great!! Nick 13 is such quality!! The show rocked and I cant wait till he comes back to NYC!!
The venue is a fantastic little place in NYC, and seeing Nick 13 here for his first show in NYC as a solo artist was just incredible. He sounded amazing, the setlist was great, and it was just one of the best shows I've ever been to for sure!
Show was great. Great band playing with him bringing back REAL Country music, not the watered down pop. Awesome banter with the crowd between songs. Can't wait to see him again
Nick 13 put on a wonderful show , he sounded amazing, his band was great also, he was kind, funny and grateful. I would definately go to see him again. He played his solo stuff and 3 tiger army songs (2 of which were on his solo cd). I couldn't think of a better way to have spent my friday night
Nick 13 @ the Brighton Music Hall on 6/22/2011 was the best show I've seen...ever.
