My time to national event, Sonoma Raceway, and first time to drag racing event in over 25 years. I had wonderful experience and plan on introducing my grandson to drag racing, very soon. I plan on being at track next year. Thanks for the awesome time.
Only problem was people who bring stadium chairs and interfere with people in other seating areas. People in fro t of us took up our space without concern about us. I took photos because I was very upset about it. If you like I can send you the photos so you can understand my problem.
Food prices, out of line- bring your own. Drivers, not to many out signing autos. Parking is FREE - Shuttles Are Great-Bring good ear plugs a must- Merchandise pricey, $30.00 T-shirts. Ticket prices are good, racing is great
Had a great day at the track on Saturday July 27. Thanks!! To make future events even better we suggest: 1) When displaying names/faces of the top drivers during their race also list their current qualifying position and/or current qualifying times so we can better understand what they are trying to accomplish. More fully draws the spectators into each and every pass. 2) Add another row of display lights at the end of the track to display the break-out time even after the cars cross finish line (i.e. simultaneously display the actual ETA, top speed AND the break-out time so it easier to tell if a driver has broken out. 3) Add a more visible light/indicator near the Christmas tree that clearly shows if a driver has red lighted. Existing light is too hard to see from the grandstands 4) Add another coffee vendor...one is too few!
We have been coming for a few yrs get the same seats the one thing that was special this yr is they had the speakers turned on and could hear what was going on ticket master has always got it right they make it easy with no problems thank you
My daughter and I are planning on the coming event. Hope for the best seats again at same price.
Venue was awesome. Bathrooms were clean. Event was amazing. Best ticket prices.
Spectacular to see these cars in action. Always a good time!
If you truly want to keep fans interested in NHRA, you have to provide an experience similar to what can be viewed on television, for example: Jumbotron’s need to show manufacture names, reaction times and the Christmas tree for those who can’t see it from their seats. These are just a few things that I can think of and I’m sure there are many more thank you for hearing me out.

Great experience as usual at Sonoma Raceway for the NHRA drags on Friday night. It was the first time for my 12 year old daughter and we had a great time. She asked if we were going again next, so that's a good sign!

If you like drag racing, this is the national event you should make! Awesome venue! Event was sold out but you would never know it, it didn't seem crowded at all. Very clean, no lines for bathrooms, ladies!! Amazing!!! Food vendors had a little to be desired, It just wasn't my preference.

This was my 1st time at Sonoma for NHRA racing. While i was very impressed with the show, the disabled parking that was available at the top of the hill was somewhat disappointing. It should be MUCH closer for those that are disabled IMO! More importantly, I was extremely disappointed in the Opening Ceremony, with the skydiver flying the American Flag down. He flew directly over the large flag that was being held open by the staff, and proceeded to DROP the US flag that was attached to him onto the GROUND! That is a complete DESECRATION of our flag! Sonoma Raceway should be ashamed that it happened at all, and should take IMMEDIATE steps to ensure that it doesn't happen again...EVER! The skydiver should drop the flag onto the large flag being held by the staff as he skims over it.! Solves the problem AND it would be a MUCH BETTER presentation IMO... Sheldon Smith ~ Former USMC
The Top Fuel and Funny cars are crazy to see in person. SO loud you have to pay attention or else you might knock your drink over! I enjoy all the races at Sonoma, hard not to have a good time. Its a great venue.
If you like noise, speed and the smell of high octane fuel and burning rubber, you'll enjoy this!
It was a good show. It would have been better if the jet cars would run on Sunday as well.
