Overall an awesome experience. You had better bring lots of water to hydrate.Be prepared to walk alot and wear light clothing...it gets quite warm in the stands. Need more places (tables) to sit down when enjoying food and beverages.
When you are at the start line and the cars take off it’s pure madness!!!!! Words cannot express how amazing that feeling is…. The heat and force that pushes you back is one of the best feelings!!!!!
Charlotte always does a great job with the NHRA Event ,, Seems to get hot at the events ,,and people pile in under bleachers in between some of the races or during a pause in between classes ,,Is it possible to throw a few more benches and a table or two to help out for just place to sit to relax out of heat or a place to sit and eat ,,,seems just a few more would help out nicely Just a thought
Awesome day, great smell, live is way better than tv
Sonoma is a "home track"for me. Going to both NASCAR and NHRA, the drags are so much personable in my opinion compared to NASCAR. I took my kids for their first time to both this year and without having to pay extra for a pit pass to get up and close to the cars and drivers of NASCAR we ran into several drivers that we're actually done with racing at that time we walked to the pits John Force Tony Stewart, Gauge Herrera. Getting autographs from all without having to wait in a extremely long line and even though they weren't racing or they were finished racing for the day they still came out for their fans. We actually came down from the grandstands just to grab a bite to eat and walk through the pits while we ate and ran into all of them. I don't know maybe I'm biased I do love NASCAR but it just seems you get so much more from going to the NHRA drags.
First of all, I'm French and it was my first time with NHRA. The show, the noise and the view were stunning
I had a great time seeing my Driver in the Pit and all the other drivers getting ready , I like the “ your ticket is your pit pass” ! Different from NASCAR which is what I used to come see and camp out in our trailer , I never paid for the Pit pass. Tony Stewart is my driver, I have been his #1 Fan since his Rookie start in NASCAR and I came to see him but he was Eliminated In the First Round, first up so that was awful but I had a great time ! I wish the food was cheaper and a better way to exit without having to make that U Turn but it was a great day , brought me back to the days at Fremont Dragstrip 🩷 I will be back as long as Tony is still racing ‼️
Great weather, good times at the track. Plenty of things to see and do. Plenty of food and beverages to choose from.
I went on Saturday with my family and WOW !! The whole experience was amazing ! I would for sure go again !!!!
I was super disappointed with how many vendors there was. The past time I went there was more cars on a Saturday amd way more racing. The Nitro cars only ran twice on Saturday witch i’ve never heard of.
There's nothing like directly experiencing the 11,000 horsepower of these cars on the dragstrip in person. It goes palpably through the body! Top fuel races are the fastest on the planet.
This is my second live experience at the NHRA. Both times was a gift from my friend Ed V. I’ve been a tv watcher for years. There’s nothing like being there live and especially experiencing it with good friends.
Drag racing was great. But we had a obstructed View with a pole right in front of us.
I found everything to be Great! The only thing I was disappointed about was there were no Cell Phone Charging Stations, I've been to Baseball games where they had Vending Machines with Portable Cell Chargers. Other than that I really enjoyed the Friday Night Nitro under the lights! Especially when Brittany Force Broke the World Record!!!
The parking was easy, the shuttle busses were very efficient in moving more people. The racing was great, yet not having a full top fuel field was disappointing. There was downtime between semifinals to the final round and that was also disappointing. There should’ve been exhibition runs or burn out contests, something to keep us entertained. Otherwise a great day Friday and Sunday the days I went to the track.

I’ve been going on Saturdays for 15+ years. I went to Friday night drags and it was an awesome experience. I’ll be going on Friday night from here on out big speeds awesome crowds nice people I might even just camp out the whole time. Awesome venue cinema raceway. I’ve been going there since of a serious point.
My first time going to NHRA race and I had the best time ever. Will definitely go again. Even took pictures of a few of the drivers. Thank you!
We took two friends that never top fuel car run live and Friday night we got rained out early about 7:45 but they are hooked ,the vibrations on their body’s was awesome and to see what they felt was priceless I My dad had built a top fuel dragster in 1960 ,he ran it for five years. He also ran a Alter’s car,and some other street rod class the man had almost 1000 trophies in the closet we now live in Bristol Tn can wait for next year
