    A Great Show

by Redeagle95 on 3/15/15Radio City Music Hall - New York

A beautiful evening revolving around the sights and attractions that New York City has to offer, all done in the best venue in New York! Just an entertaining event with music, singing and dancing to delight the audience. It didn't matter if you were a tourist or a native New Yorker, this show was inspiring. Derek Hough was as good as ever, and needless to say the Rockettes were a crowd favorite. The set changes were realistic and quite imaginative. Overall a wonderful event and a great evening out.

The most spectacular show I have ever seen.

by Ninja9000 on 3/15/15Radio City Music Hall - New York

The story was funny and interesting. The sound and scene setup was out of this world! I have not seen anything like it before. All the performers were spot on every time. And the Rockettes.. don´t even get me started.. they did a perfect show. When I planned this trip to New York I originally wanted to se the Rangers but it was not possible at this time. Then I stumbled on New York Spring Spectacular and it was possible to go to the last night of our stay. And what a night in New York. I dont think it is a spoiler when I say that the Rangers was it the show. :-) The next time I go to New York it will be planned according to the Rockettes Spectacular schedule!

An Entertaining Tour of New York

by JoshuaRyan on 3/15/15Radio City Music Hall - New York

This is a fun, entertaining tour through New York landmarks and industries for visitors and residents alike. While the fashion and sports segments are a little long, unless you are avid fans of either, seeing Derek Hough dance live is something NOT to be missed, and Laura Bernanti showcases her singing chops and grounds the show, making it more than just a PR reel for NYC. From animatronic figures like a talking Statue of Liberty and bantering lions from the Public Library to aerial dancers and plenty of Rockette high kicks, this show definitely has something for everyone. Highlights are the "I Could Have Danced All Night" number with animated paintings that come to life in The Metropiltan Museum and the "Singing in the Rain" tap dance number with actual falling water. During the show I attended, there were very minor hiccups like a broken umbrella and a temporary voice over glitch with Liberty which was quickly fixed and only made the show more endearing, proving that anything really can happen during live theater.

    Perfect New York experience!!!!

by Skv1419 on 3/15/15Radio City Music Hall - New York

I have been going to NYC with my sisters and mom once a year for the last 15 years. We had never seen the Rockettes. This show was fabulous- a perfect NYC show! It was fun, family friendly, and genuinely entertaining. I highly recommend!

I felt it was too corney... The dancers were great but the story with the talking was lame. I would take the Statue of Liberty out all together. The movie review was the best part.

Radio City Spring Spectacular - Show For The Ages

by Theater88 on 3/15/15Radio City Music Hall - New York

I've been to the Christmas Spectacular for the last seven years and this shows does the name-sake of Radio City & the Rockettes justice. It's a new show for the ages that takes the time honored Radio City Christmas Spectacular and modernizes it while paying homage to the great city of New York. Any one that knows NY or even those that don't intimately will get a great taste of the rich heritage that this city has to offer. The show has multiple facets that tailors to various tastes and the special effects staging and the seamless transitions from one segment to another will be familiar to those that have seen the Christmas rendition. Derek was great but special kudos to Laura as she has a stage presence that is both confident, versatile and quick on her feet as witnessed during the crowd interactions (didn't realize until after that she was the Baroness on NBC's Sound of Music Live with Carrie Underwood which she was also great in). I saw this during the preview week and am planning to go see it again before Derek makes it deep into this season of Dancing with the Stars with Nastia Liukiin (he is going to be one tired entertainer flying back and forth between NY and LA). Rockettes - fabulous as usual and after 7 years, finally sat front row center to see all the meticulous and flawless timed dance steps.

New York Spring Spectacular was quite enjoyable

Excellent scenery, use of 3-D, automation, electronic gadgetry and of course the multi-talented cast made this Spectacular true to its name!

    A "Spectacular" Spring Spectacular

by Puma51 on 3/15/15Radio City Music Hall - New York

An outstanding performance by all. It was entertaining, amusing and heart warming. It kept a smile on my face for the entire shore. The rockettes, as usual, didn't miss a beat. Derek was the icing on the cake. And definitely appropriate for all ages. Hope e1 goes to see this. A life time of memories.

The Spring Spectaclar at Radio City fulfilled the title in every way. ...set design, singing dancing, story line and, of course, the amazing Rockettes!! The performers were top notch and the costuming everything that you expect from a Production at Radio City Music Hall. Spring Spectacular was a great show!

by Susieger on 3/15/15Radio City Music Hall - New York

Derek Hough was fantastic- what a dancer, the singing was great too. Tickets were a little pricey- especially since I recieved emails the day before the show advertising orchestra seating for more than half what I paid. And my tickets were supposed to be Chase card special pricing.

    Spring Spectacular

by JamieWilkes on 3/13/15Radio City Music Hall - NYC

The story line is very cheesy. Derek Hough, Laura Benanti and the rest of cast are all very talented and did the best with what they are given. There isn't enough dancing done by the Rockettes, they do bunch of walking around at times. The video gimmicks are pointless as well. There were a few technical difficulties but those are not uncommon in previews. There are a few cool scenes including the Singin' In the Rain one. Some of the song choices, including Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj are awful, although some of the original songs are nice. Overall this show isn't for theatre people like myself, some people may enjoy it but it feels like a definite tourist trap. I won't get to see the final product because I'm only in NYC for a week but hopefully some major improvements are made between now and opening night!
