I disliked the location for the VIP area and it took almost an hour just to check in, get a drink and snacks, and be seated. I loved the music all around, the food trucks, rides, demolition derby, and activities.
Awesome time, great crowd, great food choices. Don't want to be negative cause we had a good time, but the sound system in the 80's stage was very distorted. Especially when Strangelove played after midnight. We like to be close tothe stage, but this time the speakers were very distored. Maybe to much power causing a great band to be over modulated. Just ended up backing up towards the entrance to adust. Otherwise, great event and will look forward to next year!
Had a great time. This was the first time i've done this and had a really good time. Food trucks were great. Lines weren't excessive at any point for food, drink or bathrooms. A bit COLD (dress accordingly - I wasn't sure what to expect).The accoustics could have been a lot better. Especially in the 1960's stage area. The Neil Diamond band was good. Wasn't overly impressed with the Beatles or Stones band. Could have been the accoustics. You didn't have the right Journey band (not sure if it was the band or the main singer, but it wasn't the usual Journey tribute band I'm used to which is MUCH, MUCH better). Queen tribute band was good but didn't hear Bohemian Rhapsody - I'm sure it was there, I just must have missed it. All-in-all a great time. Looking forward to next year.
We had 5 people in our party. Next year, however, we will have many more. We all had a great time. Stayed at a nearby hotel and took a cab over so we could party. Loved the VIP food area. Definitely worth the money. We ordered ours way back in October. Can't wait til next year. Really liked the fact there were mature people that attended. Great atmosphere.
It was a great time! The band's that we saw were very good & I would go see them again. There was plenty of space, seating & variety. I would definitely do this event again & bring a larger group next time!
My wife and I attended the OC Fair New Year's Eve Block Party for the 3rd time and it was better then ever. Great Music, Food and Fun. My suggestion would be to spread out the good bands (history of the biggest crowds) with the most popular music over the hours so you can jump from one to another. The best bands (except for Queen) were all in the first hours it was hard to see them and the middle hours were not as interesting. Also get the 80's music on the main stage (Atomic Punks were incredible!!)
Not enough Las Vegas style gaming tables. Beer was overpriced at 9 dollars. Bands were good and not enough time to see them all. Friendly staff.
