New Jersey Devils History
The New Jersey Devils were born in 1982, the third incarnation of a franchise that began as the Kansas City Scouts (1974-76) before spending six years in Denver as the Colorado Rockies. The arrival of president/general manager Lou Lamoriello in 1987 started the franchise's rise to the NHL elite. The Devils made the playoffs in 21 of the next 24 seasons, including five trips to the Stanley Cup Final.
The Devils made it as far as the conference finals in the 1987-1988 and 1993-1994 seasons, preparing them for their historic run the following year in which they won their first Stanley Cup Championship, sweeping the Detroit Red Wings.
The Devils returned to the Stanley Cup Final in 2000, dispatching the Dallas Stars in six games on an iconic double-overtime Cup-clinching goal by Jason Arnott. The next season, as the best offensive team in the NHL, they returned to the Final.
The Devils' stretch of dominance was far from over, though. They won their third Stanley Cup Championship in 2003, spoiling the Anaheim Ducks’ first-ever playoff run with a Game 7 shutout orchestrated by Martin Brodeur. To date, the club has won three Stanley Cup Championships and five Eastern Conference Championships.
In 2022, the Devils returned to the second round of the playoffs—their first time since 2011. Led by young stars Jack Hughes and Nico Hischier, the Devils defeated their long-time rivals the New York Rangers in the first round, before losing their next series to the Carolina Hurricanes.

It had such great activities for the kids, and for the ones who love hockey you were able to do a virtual reality ride of being on a zamboni, as well as take a picture with THE stanley cup! I was in awe and it made the game that much more exciting to go to. I had great seats and everyone there(the fans&employees) made it such a great experience.

The only thing that prevent the experience from being 5 stars was the fact that the venue couldn't accommodate the ugly weather swiftly. Freezing rain should have had the doors open before 11AM, but that's no big deal. The game itself was good...for 1 period, then the Sharks did the damage in the 2nd. Food was good. Any seat at Prudential, even the nosebleeds have a nice view. Will definitely be back.

Easy to get to from Manhatten and great venue

If you are used to the UK matches be prepared for less flow in the game as the cleaners are on the ice every 2 minutes seemingly to ensure it is of good quality! Food and drink incredibly expensive compared to UK so eat before you go!
